New & Old characters in future games

Ronin

Let's rock, baby!
Will there be old characters from the past games returning?
Ex.
DMC4:
- Kyrie
- Argus
- Credo
- Gloria
- Sanctus

Plus if there'll be new characters, what would you guys think of...
- a monk
- a cowboy
- a sorcerer/sorceress

Every character in DmC seems to symbolise a certain social flaw or grade.
Like Dante. Not only he is a orphan and punk but represents a latin-ethnic immigrant in america.

If they are to bring new characters I think they need to add themes to it

I'd like to see a redone Arkham or Agnus. Those guys were creepy, so I bet the DmC versions would be even more creepy.

But I don't want to see any sex scenes with those guys. Seeing that with Mundus was enough for me. :P

If they bring Sanctus back, he'd be a pope with a dark side and seeks to use the demonic power to rule the world and regain his youth.

Plus if new characters with swords show up, I want more sword fights!

NT should really bring back Jester. He happens to find Vergil's Order mask, and he puts his own touches on it. When he's not Jester, he's Arkham. Arkham in his new incarnation could be Kat's father, and she inherited her powers from him. Arkham has the power to jump between realms due to his red/blue eye pigments. This could be a secret ending in DmC.

I, for one, would be incredibly happy if they brought back at least one nostalgia-fueled boss. All I'd need to satiate that hunger would be to see Phantom or Nightmare, hell, give me Nefasturris.

Actually, now that I think about it, the new demons with the statuesque skin with squick underneath remind me a LOT of Nefasturris...

I would say I'd want a reimagined Airus from DMC2, but Mundus is already like Arius. So, failing that I'd want to see maybe Lucia. I want to see if more can be done with her character.

Since Kat is new, she should be Dante's love interest or better yet a sister.

The Order of the Sword should come back.

Wonder if Arkham & Lady will come back in the next sequel.

I feel like the story would have been better for the fans if Kat had been Lady, and she introduced herself as Mary. The things she told Dante about her father who was a demon...could have fit into a re-imagining of Lady's character. Vergil could have, at some point dubbed her Lady as a codename.

Either way, the relationship between between her and Arkham would be perfect for the direction the series has taken. Also..the idea of Jester/Arkham using Vergil's mask would be incredible...Dante would think it's Vergil...Also...**** it, just retcon Arkham as Kat's dad lol

That's actually a cool idea and seems like it would have worked really well! I think Lady is the only dmc girl I liked, Trish just being too weird with the whole hot clone of Dante's mom thing freaking me out and Lucia was just bleh. Oh and Kyrie was like a piece of paper personality wise

this reminds me of how disapointed i was with Sanctus as a character, in his bio its said that he was an incredible master swordsman in his youth but they didnt explore that at all, he would of been infinitly more entertaiing to fight if they had used his power up from Sparda and The Savior as an excuse for him to regain those abilities and make for an epic final boss but oh welllll

Honetsly, Kat felt like that was the angle they were leaning for, that she's the Reboot's version of Lady, with demon foster father, unique abilities that set her apart from most humans, and being the person who anchors Dante to humanity and gives him reasons to care. She even has a hair style that looks like it's meant to envoke Lady's look...

In the other thread of concept art. There was what I can call Lady, with her red bike and blonde hair in contrast of Dante's black. She was my kind of type. lol

This was an overall shared problem with all previous DMC titles: they had a colorful cast of characters, but none of them were explored well enough and lived up to their story potential. Heck, not even the heroes, Dante and Nero, were safe from this, specially the later.

Yeah I think DMC3 had the overall best character dynamics and development amongst the older games. It was nothing really amazing but Lady was, at least in that game, the best female character in the series and Vergil was a really cool villain, even though his generic lust for power and him wanting to be like his father made no sense since his father was a good guy. Still his dynamic with Dante was just great.

Dante in DMC2 was just horrible and DMC 1 he did not really have too much personality and rarely showed it but when he did he was a cool character. In DMC4 he was still kinda cool but just way too over the top. I liked Nero(probably because I was still obsessed with Bleach lol) but as a character he was just a slightly more serious version of Dante
