Hey everyone,
I'm new here, but I am not new to DMC games. I've played since DMC3 came out, and I've finished every game in the series other than the mobile games. I've played the mobile games, but I am not a big fan of mobile for gaming in general.
I like stylish gameplay, but I am more interested in S-Ranks. My play style is centered around grounded combat mostly, though I can JC just fine. My play style is changing due to the Crimson mod, though. It's really enjoyable, but I still spend much more of my time playing the original releases and the HD Collection.
I play and replay these games on and on, thus the moniker.
Most recently I have completed the Retroachievements Mastery for DMC3's original PS2 release. That was indeed a grind with SS-Rank requirements on all missions and difficulties. This is not the first or last time I will complete this game, to be sure. I did it back at the time of the original release, and I remember thinking that it was actually impossible. With dedicated play it is indeed possible, and quite possibly the most fun I've ever had with a video game.
Currently, I am working on doing the same for DMC2. I have found this game to be among the hardest to get S-Ranks. It is enjoyable, but unpolished. I came to this forum specifically to research how to get every S-Rank on every difficulty in DMC2. But I like discussing the games, so that's just a bonus. It's going to be cool to dig into the forum history. Looks like it goes back as far as 2006 or so. I'm sure there are some gems in the history of this site. I'm excited to take a look at everything.
