I like how the lift and pull abilities werent in this gameplay, it shows that the combat isnt completely focused on using those abilities to combo. For some reason out of all the gameplays that have been shown this one gives off more a dmc vibe to me.
but in the showing it off aspect it fails, I was hoping for a cut scene at least like when he got Cerberus, or Agni and Rudra. all it was, was a poorly acted cry of pain.To me, it was more of the, "I just got a new weapon, now let me show it off!" Sort of DMC vibe.

The cut scenes are cool and all but once you look past the flashy moves and such, one can't help but ask " Why the hell can't I do that in the game?"but in the showing it off aspect it fails, I was hoping for a cut scene at least like when he got Cerberus, or Agni and Rudra. all it was, was a poorly acted cry of pain.
I preffer it this way. Rather than a prolonged set up with a fight scene to go with your new weapon I rather have the quick intro that shows the weapon, maybe a simple demonstration of what it does, simple and to the point. It was fine in DMC3 but in DMC4 it just seemed tacky and silly. I don't know why it worked in 3 and not 4 but that's how it went down.By that logic, DMC1's irfrit was a cry of pain too.
To me it's not gonna show you some cutscene where the character is doing the cool moves, it's gonna let you, the player, be the cutscene and show off your new weapon yourself.
