New DmC Producer Interview

Nice! A bit up in the air still but he answered a crap ton of stuff.

Here are some I really wanted to know:

Normal/Angel/Demon weapons are switchable while in that mode and they will remain selected whenever you leave and then enter that particular mode again.

For those who were asking how the "collaboration" has been between NT and Capcom regarding gameplay... well there you go. Wisdom from Capcom, NT makes it.

DLCs for the future but everything they are making for now is coming in the box. Now let's hope they keep their word.

The game is coming out at the end of the year. That's not good... that's not good at all.

okay so now i'm a little confused on the angel weapon, demon weapon, angel mode, demon mode thing. can someone explain it to me?

So it's official. An end-of-the-year release.

Not the best time slot, but it's better than nothing.

You have your three modes that you enter using your triggers. For each of the modes you have a bunch of weapons (all of them are individual from each other, even from mode to mode). So let's say you are in Angel Mode and switch your weapon to Osiris, then you go into Demon Mode and change your weapon to something else (not Arbiter), then you go back to Angel Mode and Osiris will still be selected. So it's not like you pick Rebellion and instantly you get Osiris and Arbiter selected for Angel and Demon modes.

This adds up a A LOT of combos that you can pull off... and I mean a lot. You literally can have three weapons of each type selected at once to use almost instantly, as well as being able to quickly change between all of them in a particular mode... that's pretty insane.

Toward the end of this year? NT's going to be bankrupt at this point.
On the brightside, he's talking about challenges. I want a challenge. I may be a casual DMC player in the technical aspect, but I love the higher difficulty.
I never took advantage of jump cancelling or enemy step :I

ooooooohhh!! okay awesome i like that. :) thanks for clearing that up! :)
trickster, gunslinger, and royalguard moves were confirmed. :)

How in the hell did you ever beat DMD mode? I mean even I had to farm the hell out of health orbs at times and I use jump canceling like its my job.

No problem! Also I like to add up that you can customize Dante the way you like it this way like in DMC3 and not DMC4 Dante where you HAD to go through each weapon. It's as simple as selecting the Normal weapon, the Angel weapon, and the Demon weapon that you like the most and not press the change weapon buttons again. Bam! You have your own unique style and weapon usage.

And yep. Well, I already knew that. Parry and Glide sort of sound like Royal Guard and Trickster to me... gunslinger, he didn't mention that but I have seen Dante do the gun spin attack in the air before so I'm not too worried.

I'm liking it too. I was thinking it looked like a drawback from previous titles. I mean, my favorite style was trickster and I was a bit sad from them taking it out and stuff. But my god, having three weapons that you don't have to cycle through like in DMC4 and being able to switch these three into any three combination that you want on the fly... well, let's just say I'm starting to finally comprehend why they decided to go this way and not with the style system, it's definitely an improvement that adds up to a lot of possibilities. It's like DMC3 and Dante has all his weapons available but without the need of cycling through them... hell they should remake DMC3 using this control scheme... then I will be able to use Rebellion, Beowulf, and Nevan at once.

i'm so stoked to get my hands on it! :)
but as i mentioned earlier, i wonder if there are still the gunslinger moves incorporated that we saw in earlier trailers.

Well, it is true that we haven't seen these in recent stuff... but that's probably because they don't have the ability given to them yet (is still unlocked), so they are playing without it. It will probably be something like "hold down the shoot button while in the air" or something... then again that would be the charged shot. I dunno... lol

Very nice NT not mentioning if game will be on PC. Nearly im on rage mode.

LOL I'm pretty sure it is going to be on PC. Now will it be on PC at the same time as the console versions? Don't think so... sadly.

you're probably right, i would just like to see some gunslinger moves in action, and see how they work. :)
