Nero's EX Streak Anomaly

Okay, I've noticed that sometimes when I use Nero's EX Streak with Exceed level 3, Nero does additional spins on top of the normal 3. Has anyone else encountered this so far, or knows how to do it?
I wasn't able to pull it of consciously yet, only at random.
