First, I must say that it's kind of cool though, unlike most people, I'm not feeling the "DMC" vibe. Dante seems more of a punk than his previous incarnations, placing more emotion in his lines than actually being calm, but I assume that's just the stage that he is going through. But all in all, I like his rough exterior. He seems the kind of guy I could see myself being the sidekick of.

Now, onto my analysis.:

We Are The Order
In the beginning of the trailer, where they are showing The Order's insignia, places where I assume The Order has influence are marked as the world is rotating. Then there's Vergil himself (I assume he is Vergil). Not much to say that hasn't already been said except that it doesn't seem like he's any familial ties with Dante. It is more than likely that he's just controlling Dante. Though it seems they have kept up some past imagery of previous games, such as wearing a long coat with large collars, slick- backed hair, and wearing a mask to hide his identity (Gilver/Nelo Angelo). However, I wonder why the eyeholes of the mask are taped up?

Party Time!
Now why did Dante have to punch the security guard? Oh well, obviously that wasn't the least of his worries. Seriously, you're telling me Malice affects people too? Now that's just not fair! But I wonder what's the source of that influence? The media's brainwashing or Virility's poisoning?

I'm also thinking that angels are running the nightclubs or underground parts of society. There's a dancer on stage dressed up as an angel as well as a chick walking behind Dante. Plus there's a huge statue that looks pretty angelic.

Unleashing Your Inner Demon!

Okay, I don't think DT is going be Dante's inner devil coming out. It seems like he's being possessed. If you look, you can see purple energy flowing through his body as well as him floating in the air in a similar fashion as DMC 1 Dante. I think the DT we've been seeing is of Arbiter's spirit possessing Dante since someone already pointed out that Arbiter's trail takes the form of a person during it's final hit.

I Am A God

Can I say, first, that Mundus looks awesome? Anyways, I like how they continued with the "statue"- esque image of him as you can see visible cracks on his skin. Though I wonder what happened to Sparda? It seems like Mundus defeated Sparda or at least Sparda pulled the same thing as Dante and failed. Hmm...

All in all, this is definitely turning out to be interesting story. Though it's hard for me to pull out that DMC vibe out of it. It seems like gameplay is the only part of it that's DMC- esque but that's not what I'm focusing on. Oh well, as Dante said, "This just keeps getting better and better."

I'd like to add something, since I can't really disagree with any of your observations.
I might be wrong, but on the closeup of "Mundus"` face you can see, that he has heterochromia: one red and one blue eye.
Arkham had that, right? Does that hint at this guy being only a spokesperson for Mundus and not even his real self?
Or does that mean, that he has domain over demons AND angels?
Can't figure out, what exactly it is... yet.

speaking of arkham, do you guys remember the "you don't f**k with a god trailer"? the person that said that sounded suspiciously like arham and i'm assuming it was mundus (the bald guy) however it doesn't sound like him. i wonder if arkham is in this game?

I remember there was this old theory that Arkham was controlled by Mundus. The premise was that when Arkham killed his wife to gain power, he sacrificed her to Mundus. Mundus, in turn, gave Arkham some of his power so that he could unseal Temen- ni- Gru.

I think that they are combining Mundus and Arkham into this new Mundus in the same way they combined Dante and Nero into the new Dante. Naturally, you guys can see the three dots on his forehead and the heterochromia in his eyes, but I also noticed that the cracks in his face that I mentioned are placed in a similar manner as Arkham's weird demonic mark. Then there's the fact that this new Mundus sees himself as a god in the same way Arkham did.

Hmmm... It is almost as if they are combining all the DMCs into one big clusterf*ck of a story.

Well, Railazel, if they somehow manage to bring an order to the chaos, I think it could get very interesting. But they are equally likely to **** up if they try to do that. =P

I have no worries. Capcom did choose NT for their story- telling, so I trust they'll be able to make DmC a great story.
