The demons look too robotic, make the weak ones look like a tortured soul that had just escaped hell, and the tougher ones look like the things that had tortured them.
do not make it a cliche like a certain action figure that ruined Blair Witch for millions of people, stretch the creative muscle.
Someone at the end of the game even says "They look like demons". But only the Rages and the Dreamrunners do.

Its been stated that the angels in DmC aren't exactly good, but let's take it up a notch, make it so they can't cry over the loss of one who loved them, and that Eva was one of the few good ones.
