Mrrandomlulz talks about haters hating

Haters gonna hate, this is my motto. The reason? I am a brony, and really this game is getting the kind of attention bronies often do.

It is being hated for being different from what we know. When the bronies first came, it went against everything everypony ever knew about manliness, they were different from what we believed, different from what we grew up with. Sound familiar?
Like how DMC fans feel about DmC, everypony who first saw the trailer back in 2010 saw something different, they saw a different approach to their way of life. But like the bronies, many have learned to embrace this game since we first saw it, we have a new perspective, but as I said earlier Haters Gonna Hate.
The haters here are known as "Skeptics", now some of these skeptics like Cool74, actually have points, but from what I have seen. Alot of them on Capcom Unity are still whining about the very first problems we saw.

So my question to you is should somepony be called a hater when they actually have a point just because somepony else is whining about pointless problems. In other words, what is the difference between a Skeptic and a Hater?

There has been a lot less haters and skeptics and a lot more supporters who bash the skeptics at every turn. The perception of the game has flipped with more people approving than disproving. And yet people only ever talk about the haters/skeptics hating on a game no one has played yet. It has been months, maybe even a year, since I've seen much hating from the haters. Heck, NT's attitude toward the haters and DMC/DmC in general has changed from arrogant-in-yo-face-we-da-boss, to a more quiet confidence. Which I can respect.

And yet people only talk about the haters. Honestly, I think some supporters should be called haters because they hate the skeptics. I see way more hate from the supporters toward the skeptics than anywhere else now.

And a couple things about what you posted,

1) While there are people who hate the changes because they are changes, there are people who hate the changes because the changes in question suck. There is a difference.

2) If DMC is a way of life for you, then you need to get out more.

That is all. *leaves*

*Whispers in Megs ear* But I use the tactics from the game to fight demons in real life

ps thanks for blowing my mind

I was talking about people in general.
And if that's true, then you my good sir may carry on.

The difference is just the same as with sceptic believers in this game and mindless NT-drones.
Sceptics are informed and stay on subject while discussin the flaws of the game. A sceptic admits that there are good points about it, but he also can logically point out the (some say many) flaws of the game.
A hater hates for hate's sake, e.g. because Dante is different now, because the game lost most of it's gothic feel or because the framerate is different.

I consider myself to be some melange between a sceptic and a believer. I am willing to admit, that the game has it's faults, I just don't see them as that big of a deal.

lol of course haters gonna hate. The hell the're gonna do?Haters gonna love?
I have actually seen some guys that really hates DmC when it was first announced, then when the trailer in E3 2011,The fight,The Escape,The Secret and the special TGS trailer, they turned and love the game which is fine. But some of them, turned and love the game, then will goddamn bash the previous series. Some kind of loyal fan they are lmfao!

Holy crap, I never thought of it that way,
thanks, randomlulz!
I should probably get around to watching MLPFIM sometime...

But nah, a skeptic's a skeptic. Nothing wrong with that at all. Sad that he/she won't like the game I like, but at least they're not mindlessly bashing it at every turn.

Well I'm a proud DmC Skeptic over here, but that still has not stopped me from having run ins with so called "supporters" over my opinions about DmC.

Even if I give reasons to why I dislike this game and point out some good things I still can not seem to avoid those types of run ins since some "supporters" simply do not like the idea of someone saying any thing bad about this game whether you are a "hater" or "skeptic".

Some even group the 2 together and basically appear to have a outlook that if you do not like the game for whatever reason than your just a "hater that is gonna hate".

And I think its ridiculous.

But ReRave pretty much hit is spot on.

To put it simply,

A skeptic is some one who is skeptical about the game and can see the issues with it but still is willing to give it a chance IF it provides something he/she is interested in.

A hater is someone who just hates change PERIOD and is not willing to give this game a chance at all and just wants to hate on every aspect of the game.

Two clear differences here...

Im rather neutral , somewhat standing beetween hater and supporter. The supporter thing was showing with me to give new devs chance, even if they are using well know FPS engine for new DMC game ( whose are geeks, know what about engine I talk about), and my hater thing only still stands for this new Dante looks: it reminded me Twilight thing for some distaste cause.

Can I just say that these labels of "skeptics," "supporters," and "haters" are really stupid. Many people see a person's label before anything else and it's just stupid. All the arguing over a video game is just .........................................................................juvenile.
Labels are an very important part of understanding and describing things we can't really live without them. of course labels can be misused if you rely on stereotypes instead of learning things about individuals but you can't not label things even if you try.

If we don't argue about games there is a lot less to talk about on a video game forum.(this isn't really the place for talking about important things) but people should be more polite about it.

While it is pretty juvenile to argue so much over video games, I don't think categorizing people in a fandom is stupid.
Especially when at least 80 percent of the fandom falls into a category.

And we don't see a label first as much as we see comments first and the label second, as far as this game goes.

The fact is that some people want to like the game. Some want to hate it. Some are willing to give it a chance.
As long as we don't start throwing out awful stereotypes, fallacies, and snap-character-judgements based on what we perceive about these three small characteristics, I can't see what's stupid about acknowledging the fact we as a community are different.

Seriously? With bronies? I don't see it, this argument seems forced and I might not be a bronie but I know a few... That's not how they saw it...

Also, you know bronies? I get it, I see the appeal of the show and while I could never hate a show that has horse versions of the Dude, Walter, and Donnie at a bowling alley I could never truelly embrace a show where every problem can be solved with the power of love, friendship, or beliiving in one self. I saw a few episodes to see what the deal was and I made the mistake of asking my 9 year old sister to see it with me... She makes fun of me, now; it's so sugary even my 9 year old sister makes fun of me... I don't even watch it regularly! But, like I said, I see the appeal.

Yes, but they got the same kind of hate, I am a brony myself, they were hated for being different.
This game = hated for being different.
and it is spelled Brony, not bronie
Bronies is the plural form
know your internet grammar

I said many people are like that, not everyone. ;)

There is a difference between discussing and arguing.

I'm all three. A hater, a skeptic, and a supporter.

I'm a supporter because of a change to the DMC formula and an interesting new flavor.

I'm a skeptic because their are still a few bugs to work out within the game itself. (Trying not to go down the same road the past DMC games went)

And I'm a hater. Not for DmC, but for that awful, poorly written, bad excuse for a movie series; Twilight saga. Just awful.>_<

I wouldn't call myself a full supporter, more like... Cautiously optimistic. I can see why people would dislike the changes they've made, and Ninja Theory's (thankfully now downplayed) holier than thou attitude. I mean, I try to be everyone's friend too, and I'm not blind (contrary to what my avatar would have you believe) to the problems that may arise with this game. But I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and play it. I just hope Capcom gives out a demo soon.

I consider myself "on the fence" over any game, no matter how drastically different something is and whether or not I agree with it. The moments after I put that disc titled "DmC" in my Playstation 3 will decide if I'm a hater or a supporter.

I'm like G-man on the subject. I sit in the background, and watch everything unfold and connect, while the haters, skeptics, and supporters do their own thing. I'm not afraid to say what I need to.

I also make buisness deals behind everyones backs....

Wake up, Mr. freeman. Wake up and... smell the ashes...
