Modes

i think yeah, if im not mistaken tameem said that one of the key features of dmc are the modes that are unlocked after you finish the game so the replay value of the game is high. i could be wrong though.

yeah they would "should" would be better word cuz the unique thing about all the prev dmc games was the modes and the difficulty , but i don't think DMD mode will be as difficult as the previous games

idk about that, in the latest inteview tameem said that this could be the most hardcore dmc (difficulty wise) ever.

yes "He said" , but as i'm seeing the gameplay in all of the videos it's easy to stay in mid air and make combos , in the previous dmc games it was a little hard to stay in mid air cuz you have to keep pressing the jump button to jump on the enemy while attacking and this was a little hard for me in the beginning and it's still hard on casual players.

true, next video they show should exhibit the difficulty of the game now that we have an idea of what the combat will be like.

hmm, but the gameplay looks like mission 2 or 3.. and should't be that difficult in the beginning of the game... and maybe you'll just start with rebillion only(I think)...?

And for me it looks little more difficulty for someone who hasn't played DMC before..
and the enemys takes alot of damage before you can defeated them..

I hope they put in Turbo Mode, and it would be AWESOME if they let some kind of training mode in the game, like Bayonetta had, or give us the option to give infinite life and cancel the timer on Bloody Palace without having to use mods (so I won't have to wait for the PC Version to have my training mode)

I don't think it would be DMC type game without different modes.
I know, but it could still be DLC, it's Capcom after all.

I love your samurai sentai picture SRS!

On topic: I doubt there's turbo cause this game isn't in MT framework.
But they could just have a mode where the game is faster and call it turbo, couldn't they? (I don't know anything about gaming engines and stuff, so forgive me if I said something really stupid)

I don't think they can do that. I'm no engine genius but I think that would break the game itself to put all that power into it. I don't mind the gameplay, because in actuallity, it's really not that slow. It's actually much faster then DMC3 and DMC4 when their not on turbo.

I also like the current speed, you can see all the movements in their glory, but I wouldn't mind having a turbo mode for after I master the combat.

The gameplay of DmC and DMC 3 in speed are actually the same. However, you can switch the weapons faster in DMC 3 and you can chain the combo immediately.

I'm sorry, did you and I see the same DmC demo, or what? The weapon switching between the scythe axe and sword are instant.

But duh,DMC 3 runs on 60 fps so it's supposed to be faster(I just played the game recently again)
But here's the thing,i know nothing about game development so maybe i'm so wrong?

I think framerate is not directly related to the speed, most 60fps games are faster because since they're faster than most games they want it to be as smooth as possible, hence 60 fps.

If you have a move that takes 4 seconds on a 60fps game, it can still take 4 seconds at 30fps, but it will have half the animation frames, so both of them would be just as fast, but the 60fps one would have smoother animation. In theory they could have something that looks almost as smooth at 30 fps, because movies for example run at 24 fps but the motion blur is so good that it won't bother you at all.

FPS (frames per second) only affects how smoothly the animation is and your width of reaction time. Nothing more. It has absolutely nothing to do with speed.
