I'm going to try and explain the video a little:
Normal Mode: The doppelganger attacks right alongside you and copies your exact movements in the exact same direction.
Pursuit Mode: The doppelganger will still copy what you do, but it will instantly teleport to and direct all attacks to the last enemy you hit. Regardless of your location in relation to the enemy. (Caution: You have to attack in the direction of said enemy for the doppelganger to stay in this mode.)
The doppelganger will also go into pursuit mode if you are sitting still and doing a charge move.(It will go back to normal mode if you deactivate then reactivate DT while you are still charging.)
Canceling out of a charging move with trickdown, automatically puts the doppelganger into pursuit mode.
Our friend Michelle is exploring how these two modes can affect certain aspects of the games combat system.
He also speculates that in DmCE, if you lock-on to an enemy, the doppelganger will go into pursuit mode automatically.(He admits this is only him guessing and that he could be wrong, and that he is sorry if he is wrong.)
This has nothing to do with, nor is it affected by, demon mode, angel mode, or the delay mode.
