I think it's cool that you made this topic with DMC1 in mind, instead of a generic DMC3/4 vs DmC comparison. DMC1 happens to be my favorite DMC game and I think it has some of the best weapons in the series, so this may be a little biased.

Anyway:

1) Rebellion (DmC)
2) Close one, but Alastor
3) Eryx
4) Sparda
5) Alastor
6) Sparda
7) Alastor
8) Arbiter

1. Rebellion (DmC): A clear winner since it's just force edge and not in its Sparda form.
2. Alastor: It has lightning abilities and enhances DT.
3. Eryx: More power behind the punches. Though Ifrit is better in design.
4. Sparda: Not even a competition.
5. Aquilla: More distance and can bring in enemies.
6. Sparda: For obvious reasons.
7. ???: Though Sparda can change shapes so can rebellion.
8. Arbiter: Though slower if used the right time, it can easily overcome Ifrit.
