19-year-old LulzSec 'mastermind' hacker suspect arrested in Essex
A 19-year-old has been arrested in Essex on suspicion of being the mastermind behind hacking group LulzSec, which has claimed credit for a range of cyber attacks on groups ranging from the CIA and the NHS to Sony and Nintendo.
The 19-year-old suspect had been arrested in Wickford, Essex, after a joint operation by the FBI and Scotland Yard.
LulzSec is the hacking group that has recently claimed responsibility for mounting denial-of-service attacks against the websites of the CIA and Britain's Serious Organised Crime Agency, and for breaking into sites belonging to groups ranging from Sony and Nintendo to the NHS and the US Senate.
The raid was as a result of a 'pre-planned intelligence-led operation', the Metropolitan Police said. The suspect has been taken to a central London police station for questioning.
The police says that they are conducting forensic examinations on 'a significant amount of material' found in the search of a home following the arrest.
LulzSec - known for their logo featuring a man in a top hat and monocle - yesterday claimed that they had teamed up with fellow hacking collective Anonymous to launch 'Operation Anti-Security', which would target government agencies and banks.
The group reacted to the arrest by posting a that LulzSec was claiming to have obtained the records of 'every single citizen' who had filled in the 2011 UK Census - but LulzSec have since suggested that the reports were untrue.

I thought that those of you who had difficulties in the past few months with hackers may want to have seen this. Problem is, there are still more of them out there.
