Let's talk about rumors: DLC original Dante

This is just my thoughts on the whole DLC original Dante being in DmC; what’s the purpose? Why bother have the original Dante in the game if the new Dante will just turn into the old Dante either way? Also if we do get the old Dante as a DLC what makes us think it’s not just skin and it’s still gonna feel like fighting with DmC Dante anyway. Also, if they do make a DLC with the old Dante, which Dante do you think they’ll pick? I hope it’s not DMC3 or DMC4 Dante since those are too anime like, and NT doesn’t want anime-like people. Maybe DMC1 or DMC2. I’m personally hoping for DMC2.

the whole series is anime-like so that shouldnt be a concern.

I wouldnt say NT is against anime, just against style over substance.

Maybe it just a model of original Dante in DmC clothing.

I think best bets would be either DMC2 Dante because it's clothing from the far future or DMC3 Dante because its the most realistic looking of all his outfits.

i want a DMC2 Dante , the game itself was a disappointment but Dante's clothing was great ( and it should be Unlockable Not DLC )

I don't think they should use the old Dante as a skin. Maybe give his attire as DLC but not the old frikin thing you know?

Yeah I think the only reason why DMC4 didn't had any extra outfits(outside the Super forms) was that they originally planned to make DLC for that but just dropped the idea. It was 2008 & I think Capcom just grasped the concept of DLC even if Resident Evil 5 had like 1 DLC bonus chapter.

That's ASSUMING neoDante becomes origiDante at the end. Assuming. And I don't know about you, but I'd be willing to shell five bucks for a costume pack xD Obviously it's going to be just skin :I DMC 3's costume were all 'just skin'. That's what a costume is. Now, a different character? That's different.

But I'm hoping for either DMC 1 Dante or DMC 2 Dante. Those are my favorite costumes right there. DMC 3 Dante...ehh I'll just play DMC 3. And...forget DMC 4 -_- If DMC 1 Dante shows up, I want to use either Sparda or Alastor!

just putting this out there. capcom have CONFIRMED no planned DLC so if there are skins there gonna be unlockables. and if there IS DLC it will be cool, thought out and awesome. i imagine it'd be at least another few levels with extra weapons etc

So what's the point of whole reboot when you can get the original Dante skin to play in this game! It doesn't makes sense tbh. I don't want to be the cockblocker but I don't want that. Instead, it would be great if they give this new Dante more alternative costume like DMC3 did. It gives more reason to play with this character and maybe (I'm saying maybe) people will finally love this new Dante more. But I'm sure most of the people will make a mod for orgiDante anyway!!

If any DMC costume is used it should be the DMC1 costume. That costume is iconic, more so than the DMC3 version.

i would like to see some of the old COSTUMES as unlockables, but i don't want new dante's body to actually turn into old dante's because like you guys said he is supposed to become the dante we know by the end of the game. plus it would really mess with the dt mechanic.

nope, preorder bonus is a preorder bonus. DLC is DLC. the two groups are different.

I voted for DMC3 because it is the most realistic of the outfits Dante wears.

I wouldn't mind seeing the DMC4 teaser outfit in action.

There shouldnt be any of the capcom "lets cut half the game out and parcels it as DLCs" DLC because we dont need any more bad press with this game.
