Let's bet what the new cutscene will be, based on the unused dialogue I found. (spoilers I guess!)

Which unused scene would you like to see?

What are you gonna do with all that power?

This thread is similar to the other one, but I wanted to stay anew so that I can put the dialogues right here at the top. When I realized that there were quite a few conversations that either got cut completely or partially, I decided I was willing to bet that one of these will be the 'new' cutscene.

You can vote which one you want or expect it to be. Whatever you want. ;) You may choose up to three options. (NT can totally catch us off guard by it being completely random and new, but any of these ones are totally cool with me. Maybe not the Succubus one. Those two have had enough screen - and by that I mean scream - time together.)
  • Succubus: You filthy vermin! How dare you attack a demon queen!
  • Dante: A queen? You spike peoples drink with your vomit!
  • Succubus: People? You mean those dumb ****ing animals we harvest?
  • Dante: That's gotta stop.
  • Succubus: Don't you get it? Those maggot humans are only alive because Mundus feasts on them.
  • Dante: Well I guess Mundus is gonna have to go vegan.
  • Succubus: You little prick! Mundus will be spitting mad when he learns of your impudence!
  • Dante: Great! That's what I want to hear!
  • Succubus: How did Sparda hide an enormous pain in the arse like you from Mundus?
  • Dante: Maybe Mundus ain't so godly after all!
  • Succubus: Blasphemous troll! I will ****ing rip you apart!
  • Dante: Go ahead and try!
  • Dante: That's one generator up and running.
  • Vergil: Good. I'll reboot this server. There should be a power rod rising in Limbo. Can you see it?
  • Dante: Yeah, I see it.
  • Vergil: Can you turn the rod?
  • Dante: Figured it out.
  • Vergil: Good. It's redirecting the power conduits.
  • Dante: Yeah, something's moving.
  • Vergil: Now line up the power conduits with the corresponding server.
  • Dante: Done.
  • Vergil: Repeat for all four and we'll be set.
  • Dante: So here's the game I'm playing. You're gonna give yourself up and I'm gonna get Kat back.
  • Lilith: Give myself up? Really? Why would I do that?
  • Dante: Because if you do, I won't kill you or that child you are carrying.
  • Lilith: What are you talking about?
  • Dante: I know you are carrying Mundus' heir.
  • Lilith: Who told you that?
  • Dante: Doesn't matter. The secrets out. This changes the game.
  • Dante: Sparda. What was he like?
  • Phineas: When Sparda betrayed Mundus, he had good reason to. Your mother Eva paid dearly. I was one of the lucky ones.
  • Dante: You were blinded and imprisoned here for how long?
  • Phineas: Hundreds of years.
  • Dante: And you call that lucky?
  • Phineas: You don't know Mundus.
  • Dante: No, I don't want to know him. I want to kill him.
  • Phineas: I too hate Mundus. But to kill a demon king - it's without precedent. Even your father didn't even achieve that feat.
  • Dante: Yeah, well maybe I'm not like my father.
  • Phineas: Hmm... We shall see.
  • Vergil: I know it was extreme, okay? I know there was a cost, but it worked. Mundus acted impulsively, in anger, the Hell Gate is spent and Mundus with it, for the time being at least... but now is the time to strike.
  • Dante: Kat is in no state to do anything.
  • Kat: Yes I am, you need me. While they tortured me I left my body, that's how I endured for so long. I explored Mundus' tower, I know how it works.. how it's wired, what it feels. You both need me to defeat Mundus. And you need each other.
  • Kat: Are you okay, Dante?
  • Dante: How do you know my name?
  • Kat: My boss knows you. He wants to meet.
  • Dante: People who want to meet me generally want to kill me. Thanks, but no thanks.
  • Kat: Where are you going?
  • Dante: Out of sight.
  • Kat: Please. I helped you back there.
  • Dante: I didn't ask for you help.
  • Kat: Aren't you going to ask me something meaningful? About the Order?
  • Dante: Got any pizza there?
  • Vergil: You're ready to kill a god?
  • Dante: Hell yeah!
  • Dante: Mom? Dad?
  • Eva: Dante, You are here because I was unable to protect you. For that I am truly sorry.
  • Dante: What?
  • Unknown: Without protection, that will not happen. They are on the brink of corrupted, almost beyond salvation. Extinction will quickly follow. We have failed them. Whether you take on this burden is now beyond our control. But there is a secret you need know. The sacred soul was born of an angel and demon. She was Nephilim, like you. Mankind are your brothers and sisters. Make of that what you wish. And please accept this final gift from us...
  • Dante: Thanks Assiel...
Please note that I had to guess what characters said what. Thank you Sunaka Marién for pointing this out to me! I never knew this existed.

They should've kept the original succubus cutscene.
Mankind are your brothers and sisters.
I KNEW HUMANS WERE DOWNGRADED NEPHILIM. :jawdrop:

If only they'd actually explained that (and why they were downgraded to begin with) in the game. Was it because of virility? It was the demons' fault, I'm sure of it.

what, you mean humans were also a mix of demon and angel? that makes sense, only humans have the tendencies to be good and evil.. this explains your theory about human weapons..

this explains your theory about human weapons..
Originally, I had thought humans to be only Nephilim "in Spirit." That they had the potential to be good, evil, or both.

Sparda calling the Rebellion and Yamato "Human" Swords was more of a "Title of Enlightenment" to me, more than anything else.

Sine humans were the only ones who could experience "True Pain," (because of their physical and magical limits when it comes to the supernatural) I thought Sparda named his Nephilim swords "Human" because he thought that you could only achieve "Enlightenment" through Human Limits.

Which was why Dante could only summon Rebellion in Limbo and why he grew up poor; this was Sparda's way of making Dante more "Human" -- and yet at the same time, more of a "True Nephilim."

[As opposed to Vergil, who is an Evil Nephilim because he lacks "Human Enlightenment."]

---------------------------------------------------------

Edit:

To recap:

Human have the potential to be a demon (sent to hell) an Angel (sent to heaven) or a Nephilim (sent to the Empty Nephilim realm that Dante went to).

But since every human in existence in DmC was brainwashed or is fighting for the Resistance Movement by working for the order, they miss "True Enlightenment"

The Understanding of both Good and Evil.

Vergil only has the understanding of Evil (even though he had good intentions).

"The path to hell is paved with good intentions."

Dante only has the Understanding of Good through an Evil Act (attempting to kill his brother, thereby sacrificing whatever sanity he had left after living on the streets in the process) because he did it to protect Humanity from Vergil's overreaching "Protection" (laws for everything, leaving no freedom for humans).

Sparda knew this, and realized that while both could wield Human (Nephilim) Swords, only one could win over the other if there was ever a conflict. He did it to maintain the balance of power between the two brothers.

So, while both twins have the same power, only Dante is being cautious about wielding it, while Vergil is using his Angel abilities to achieve his own selfish ends.

So, instead of Vergil being a "Benevolent Dictator" like Abraham Lincoln was (who was still a bit of a dictator, by the way) Vergil will go full steam and attempt to create a Kingdom of Darkness ruled by Fear.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Humans: Potential

Twins: Extreme Paths through acts of Good (Vergil "protecting" Humanity and giving his life up for his "cause") and Evil (Dante attacking his brother, unleashing his inner demon).

Angels: Ultimately Good, but are ignorant as to what's best for humanity (this is where Vergil gets the urge to protect humanity from).

Demons: A cloak of corruption permeating everything through Limbo. Ultimately exposed by the Nephilim twins.

Nephilim: Achieved True Supernatural Understanding, and even though they knew that one must perform Evil Deeds to Achieve the Ultimate Good, they were ultimately unprepared for the Demons' deviousness and ferocity... leading to their own extinction.

I think what was meant was that Dante must make a new home and family with the humans rather then trying to be a nephilim.

I don't understand why some of this had to be left out. Thinking about it, how Kat took advantage of being captured to astral project herself in to Limbo and study Mundus's layer, was a great idea and does explain how she was able to get that info, and exhibits even more of how brave she's been. Without Kat, Dante and Vergil would have definitely failed.

Most likely: They had time constraints and were limited on how many cutscenes they could have.(The average for a game is about an hour's worth of cutscenes.)

Quick question: this new dialogue, is it a text file, or is it acutal audio that was buried in the game files and just not used for some reason?

Text file. I'm poking in every single folder of the game but I can't seem to find any audio files. They must be hidden very well...

Thanks for the reply. I thought maybe if there were text files, there could be audio too somewhere. Just seems strange to include those kind of files and not have the audio to go with it. Why include that stuff and then not use it in the game?

I wouldn't mind if they included all of that hidden stuff, but I know there's only 1 new scene. Maybe it will be none of these? Hopefully it'll be something good.

Well, there's someone on Tumblr who released a bunch of DmC audio that she found as .ogg files I think. I'll ask her where exactly she found them.
