Legendary Dark Knight mode for DmC?

HailTheKing

Battousai The Manslayer
Since DmC is set to release in PC also, I was wondering if they will release the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty mode this time? Most of the people don't know this mode exist at all but it was released for DMC4 in PC versions only. This difficulty mode can handle up to Fifty enemies on the screen at the same time! It's a pure sex and madness!!

So, my question is if they decided to release this mode in PC version this time, will UE3 able to handle that much enemies on the screen easily? I know console versions can have screen tearing and frame rate drop issues but what about PC version? Sorry guys but I just wanted to clear my curiosity :/

Here's an example video

U'll just have to wait and see
They havent even fixed a release date for PC yet so it's a bit too early to be expecting any news

my god..... The camera is killing me....

OT: I actually don't know whether UE3 can handle that many enemies on-screen, but I think it's more of a PC-setup thing, than an issue of engine used.
My copy of DMC4 had horrible framerate-issue on the PS3, especially in the jungle stages, so that's that.

If they choose to include it, they will polish it until it works, so don't worry.

Dunno if Heavenly Sword was ran on Unreal but it had over 300 enemies on the screen at once. And the level was much larger than DMC4 Legendary Dark Knight

Heavenly Sword wasn't developed using UE3, it was developed using Havok Physics engine (Skyrim, Assassin's Creed and RE5 are some of the renowned title that used this engine)

It depends, if Ninja Theory will port DmC as good as Capcom did it with DMC4 we can be sure that on PC DmC will rocks :D

I dunno about LDK mode but I'm sure they will add some cool features to the PC release either way. It is done to make more people hyped about it and want to buy it. So I am hoping something like that will make a return. But... yeah, dunno if Unreal can handle it, we will see.

but thats the physics engine, not the game engine. AssassinsCreed's engine is Scimitar engine (now anvil) and RE5 is MT Framework. I don't know about Heavenly Sword and Skyrim though.

It's possible. I mean look at the E3 2011 trailer at the church scene

If you notice there are quite the number of enimies on this stage, so it could be possible to add on more enemies.

Annnnd Dark Souls...don't forget the Dark Souls!

Yeah, I doubt UE3 can take that much. I haven't seen Gears of War or The Batman Games do something like that...

YOU BASTARD! YOU FOOLED ME INTO THINKING THERE WAS A MODE I COULD PLAY AS BATMAN!!

Okay... The enemies in DmC are a bit more agressive than they are in DMC4. They're not as bad as Bayonetta or DMC3 but I think the reason it works in DMC4 is because they really are mostly targets. A LDK mode in DMC3 might be even worse than DMD mode. Don't forget that out of all of the games in the franchise DMC4 had the weakest enemies, glass jaws everywhere by contrast. DmC's opponents aren't as sturdy as DMC 1 or 3's but they aren't as fragile as 4's.

I'm just saying it might not work with tougher enemies, only the real uber skilled would get to enjoy that and that ain't fair.

I don't know this is either edited gameplay footage but in this trailer when Dante goes to the church in the E3 gameplay he doesn't face any enemies and the tank wasn't supposedly introduced til the Night Club stage(I think)...........so does Dante go back to the church again or 2x..........then the guy at 4chan said something about fighting a giant spider mini boss in a church and him being right about somethings(well he was probably right about Lilith being pregnant her talking to her stomach isn't an 100% confirmation but he did mention Lilith before she was introduced....so he was definitely right about 1 thing and most likely right about the other....I guess a chick talking to her stomach about feeding it as if it were another person is a good indication about being pregnant).
