Issues with special moves

I'm having quite the fight trying to understand the special moves. I have done the required combos for the special moves to work, but it seems I am not plugging in the right actions. I apply exactly what the combos require, but have not been able to execute them. Little advice?

in DMC3 ??
coz in DMC3........u must do the trick fisrt and the end u must repeat the melee attack button rapidly to peform the secret combo......and u will achieve the secret combo......i have done all secret combos but i didnt do one secret combo from Nevan, coz Nevan has 3 secret combos........and its a little hard to achieve that combo

oh.........hhmmmmmm dont know, i could have done some secret trick that i didnt see but i think that i dont have any secret tricks
