new xbox 360 releases this fall...is it worth getting?

Do you have the old one already? if so then no but if not I guess it would be the better choice as they are selling it for the same price.

Depends - not if you've got one and it's been well behaved. I wouldn't be surprised if the new one is no less prone to Ring of Death and/or heating problems.

Also, they still haven't fixed the problem of if you accidentally knock the XBox while it's running a disc, you can kiss your game goodbye. You'd think they would have improved the disc housing in the new model so this doesn't happen...

Depends on price tag. In my country (india) consoles cost a fortune in which case i am havin second thoughts as no one else is excited besides me.I am currently playing games on rental though.
