Interview with Motohide Eshiro, Hideaki Itsuno, and Alex Jones

I found this on the Anime Network. I can't really say there's anything new, but then it's early and I'm tired. I wouldn't recognize anything new, right now, if it bit me. I will say that I agree about the new Dante not being a jerk, as they phrased it.

Nice interview, at least they asked good questions.
I like how at the end they totally get off track. Lol

So the Rebellion only appears in Limbo? Sweeeeet. I couldn't tell, but it sounded like Eshiro implied Ebony and Ivory are just normal pistols and aren't angel/demon weapons? o.o I may have misread that.

And Kat's bond girl haha! All Dante needs now is a suit to pull that image off!

"The name's Dante, Dante...Dante."

And a last name.

I really like the comment left by this one guy on gamesradar, Cferreturn. chocolateghost, is that you??

"I'm definitely super excited about DMC. I've been playing through the first three for a refresher, and man I'm just pumped about this reboot. I'm excited most with the design of Dante. I know, I know- Be careful what you say of the vicious purists will get you. I have played Devil May Cry since its original incarnation. I've followed the anime and the graphic novels, so it's not without difficulty to express that I have been a fan of the franchise since the get go. But old Dante is campy, and cheesy- and that's okay! When I play a game, I like to play games that allow me to get close to the character. Give me a character with feeling, give me a character that has some root in realism. Give me someone who hurts, regardless of how bad ass he is. That's what this new Dante represents to me. A character who has many failings on an internal level, and thus is more 'human' to me. I can put myself in the game and glean much more enjoyment from the experience. The new range of weapons also has me wetting my pants with excitement, not to mention the stunningly smooth battle system. Ninja Theory may not have the best track record as it is, but given the small list of games they've produced- you can't judge a company based only on that. Plus, Heavenly Sword may not have been successful among some groups, but it rated very, very well. I wouldn't consider it a failure short of the lack of longevity."

I got the same impression about Ebony and Ivory, so if that's not it then we were both misreading the article.

I always assumed Dante's last name was Sparda, and doubt it would change in this game.

I didn't get to see the interview after browsing through ANN yesterday so thanks.

You're welcome. I didn't even know when it had been put up. I haven't been on ANN for a few days.

Nice find. I can't believe you actually managed to find something new. That was some really good luck, right there. Especially after comic-con.

Edit: I didn't want to steal your thunder by making a new thread for this, so I decided to post it here instead.

lol. Maybe I was guided back to ANN. And here I was hoping to find out about new animes from Section 23.

It's fine. You really didn't need to worry about that.

lol. I had to laugh at that, too.
