DmC: devil may cry is shaping up to be an great game, but im here to bring some interesting idea's that capcom may or may not be working on. First off a simple idea for bloody palace as we all know in dmc4 after every boss you progress to a higher level. each time a different area would appear more hellish with the in game feature of limbo in the new DmC:devil may cry each level progression can be a different morph of the palace.
Lets say after the 20th level and you bet the first boss malice mophs the "palace" onto an higher platform,Dante could even have grapple points between platforms. The idea being the deeper the palace goes the deeper limbo you go the higher the difficulty gets while level (1-20) seems very basic (80-100) looks like chaos. It could even be present in a sick demon game where as you progress demon messages can pop up insisting you die. This all may be to much be i think it is an interesting twist on the other wise simple mode.
While it wasn't much of a system in dmc4 you would get update whenever you enter the game regarding friends beating certain levels. In DmC:devil may cry however i would like to expand on that to incorporate replay value and to add a competitive edge to a game without an online mode. This is mostly inspired by games like SXX or the recent ResidentEvil.net reveal.
The idea this time being to compare and alert other players not just on you completing a mission but your statistics on that mission as well, since the new style system shows you moves and the points you get from them why not. Lets say you have just completed under watch with an overall grade of a B this can be compared to your friends score at the mission hopefully if possible these notifications can also be displayed while playing.seeing that maybe you friend has a S may encourage you to step up your skills this can also be applied to bloody palace and along with stats like how many orbs, continues used, blue orb fragments and secret missions found can be great to share and compare and also flaunt your SSStlye.
i would really appreciate if Capcom/NinjaTheory took a look at this if possible thank you.
ps. A PlayStaion home limbo city attraction can be cool to promote the game to some who may not know of it.
