Indemnus and Crimen
By

In the universe, stars were just beginning to form, as were planets. On one end of the universe, there was a bright flash of light from within a cloud of stardust. From that flash came a magnificent gold plated, green jewel studded dragon. Its wings were in the shape of a crescent moon, and its eyes glittered bright green as it roared it's name. "Indemnus!!!"
On the other end of the universe, inside a meteor of iron, was a flash of life. That flash was engulfed with darkness, and took the form of a black-iron plated dragon, eyes rimmed red, bladed wings upon it's back. It reared it's head back and screamed its name. "Crimen!!!"
The two dragons heard the opposite's roar, and rushed to meet in the center of the universe. When they did, they wasted no time. They clashed, creating stars, planets, galaxies. As they fought, matter was created and destroyed. Soon, they'd fought for millenia. When they finally tired, they both looked each other in the eye and asked a simple question at the same time.
"Where did you come from?"
They then replied in perfect unison:
"The universe is my mother!"
The dragons were taken aback by each other's statement. Immediately, they realized that their fighting was wrong. They brought each other closer not to fight, but to embrace each other. From that moment onward, they began to call each other something with a little more meaning than "enemy". They began to call each other "brother".
Millenia passed. The brother dragons created planets and stars using their powers. However, they quickly became bored. Their friendly sparring matching weren't enough. Therefore, they chose one planet, Earth, and created life in their image. The dinosaurs.
However, during a sparring match, a meteor was slammed into the Earth, destroying the life the dragons had worked so hard to create. They were undaunted, and created the next form of life. Humanity.
They quietly watched, sometimes sending their word to humans to be spread through religion. Soon, humans thought of both Indemnus and Crimen as one entity, and called that entity a simple name. "God".
Though now the world is in chaos, and Indemnus and Crimen must make the choice to help humanity, or let it starve...
