If Eva was an angel...

Would you mind?

The story of the new Devil May Cry game states that Dante is a hybrid of an angel and a demon. Sparda has already been mentioned as his father who gave him his demonic looking weapons so I think it is safe to say that Sparda will stay a demon in this game, though nothing has been confirmed yet. (Has it?)
So that means Dante's mother will be an angel. Would you prefer if his angelic mother is Eva or a whole new woman who happens to be an angel? Maybe Lucia since she had an angelic looking Devil Trigger in Devil May Cry 2 and in the Divine Comedy Saint Lucia was Dante Alighieri's guardian angel.

Now, I am not talking about Eva in the original series. I am talking about Eva in THIS game, should she be confirmed to be Dante's mother, so please keep that in mind.
 
Nope, that be really cool actually. I can't imagine Lucia as Dante's mom. Eva being an angel could serve as Dante's moral compass so he isn't consumed by his Demon side.
 
I hope it will be Eva.If sparda is confirmed then eva being the mother of this dante have a very high chance!
Also,maybe eva is an angel warrior and the greatest angel warrior of heaven that she is assigned to kill sparda.Then when she sees that sparda is different from other devils,that sparda can cry(lol) then she'll get fall in love with the dark knight.
 
Eva being a angel in this reboot would be fine with me. It be great if Dante encountered her and she yelled at him for pointing his finger to that angels face. (The pic of Dante with the angels) Lol

and here is something interesting, what if Sparda and Eva aren't naturally demons and angels, like when they were 18 they were part of an expierement to help connect with Angel and Demon kind, something went wrong with the expierement and it turned them into a Demon and an Angel, thus explaining why they could feel human emotions.

I like this. So why are they chasing Dante? To study his emotions as a hybrid living in the normal world?

My guess would be yes, that is the only logical explanation other than demons being forbidden to mate with angels because of the powers a hybrid could contain.
But honestly the study emotions theory sounds much more story oriented and could help make Dante realize his parents were originally humans, thus making him a three way hybrid.
 
Yup, can't wait to know more about the Angel side of this game.

Why would we mind? I thought it was pretty much a sure thing. "Eva" is after all only a name. Even in the original series, all we got to know about her was her appearance. And DmC clearly shows us, that it wants to change appearances, so if "Eva" appears there, she'll probably be different as well.

Pretty interested to know about the whole Angel thing though. I wonder if we'll get the usual forbidden love story between an angel and a demon.

I'm sorry I had to say it.
TOPIC: It be nice if they use this game as a excuse to explain who Eva and Sparda really are.
 
I think in the earlier interview, Alex explains a little bit of "angel" in DmC. Angel in DmC is not angel in orthodox Christian.
 
To be honest, we already change a lot by making Dante half angel so making eva half angel seems like a drop in the bucket.

plus we really dont know anything about her or sparda so its not that big of a loss.

Hmm I was never against Eva being an angel at all....

The name "Eva" contradicts this angel theory, The name Eva was a reference to Eve from the Bible, the first HUMAN female, a reference to the fact that she is what makes Dante's human side.
 
I do't think there is ANY relation between the two besides the name. Eva was Adam's wife, not Stev-- I mean Sparda's. And the reaso, I think, that they've an interest in Dante is the same reason as it's always been, bacause he is Sparda's so.
 
Eva's been a human (DMC), a Witch (Bayonetta) and now supposedly an angel. Which I'm not against.
