How do I update my CD drive?

My LG CD/DVD drive is dead is there anyway I can repair it with an update or so?

Try disabling and enabling the CD/DVD Drive from the My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager.

It will prompt for a restart and then, after the reboot, enable the drive.

It still says that the driver is not working properly I have done all of what you said. What else am I supposed to do? It even says that the driver has an error.
