Will DmC effectively combine Heavenly Sword and DMC together like I imagined?

You know the saying "Be Careful what you wish for". Well, after I played Heavenly Sword way back in 2008 at a friend's house, it became one of my favorite games. I loved the awesome combat and the insane graphics, but the battles got a little repetitive.
Anyway, all of my friends and I agreed that Ninja Theory (the makers of HS) should collaborate with the boys at Capcom and make the one of the greatest Hack'n Slash games of all time.
My buddies and I remembered this today and well, NT is making the new DmC game. Do you think my wish will come true? What are your thoughts about this reboot?

.......................I can't decide on that but it seems more like DMC mixed with Bayonetta than DMC mixed with Heavenly Sword just because DmC uses the heavy and light stance system in the form of the angel and demon system, it doesn't mean it plays or feels like it but hey I could be wrong.

It takes a similar stance system from Heavenly Sword, but that's really where the similarities end.
The game seems to take inspirations from Bayonetta's combat and some of the better things from DMC 3 & 4's combat.
It takes this mixture a step further by combining Devil May Cry's campy story with the seriousness of Enslaved.

So, DmC is going to end up being quite interesting. I'm excited to see whether it's going to be something that builds upon these things, or ends up being a complete cluster-****.

I cannot see where you see bayonetta in DmC at all?
Bayonetta has the same repetitive combos, but are modified with different weapons, besides the swords (which both handle the same but with special abilities) and the ice skates and the shop keepers weapon. The only thing i would like to see DmC take from Bayo is no online crap! The more you play the more you win more crap. I still haven't EARNED everything and thats why its still in my collection....and because i bought the Japanese version a month earlier.....(stupid gamestop) But none the less, DmC should make you grind to get what you want, simple as that.

I see DmC similar to HS, in which they have silky smooth weapon changes and how you have to hold down the stance to actually change the weapon. After that, the whole thing is one of a kind. In HS you cannot jump(wtf) and there wasn't a free moving camera (well there was the crappiest camera ever made) And HS had QTE's. I also think NT made DmC a mash of HS and Enslaved and they were given the go for an Mature title , ahem Triple A title and they got backed by Capcom. And from what i've seen and heard, it was a really close relationship and it shows. I wish i could tell you how good the combat is from experience but... yea... no xp.

Can I wish for infinite wishes? lol
NO:mad:
welcome to the forum:D

The fact that this is of the DmC frachise instantly makes it better than heavenly sword

It certainly does look and, to those that have tested it, feel like an improved HS. We can all safely bet on that.

I really hope that the combat system doesn't go like this:
Angel weapons=fast&light
Demon weapons=slow&heavy

More like
Angel
Osiris=really fast & really light
nunchakus=fast & light
????????? = semi-fast & normal power
???????? = semi-slow & and semi-power
Demon
Arbiter=really slow & really powerful
Eryx=slow & powerful
???????= semi-slow & semi power
???????= semi fast & normal power
Normal
Rebellion= Normal

Little variations never hurt anyone plus it gives room for strategy :)

I really hope it's something like that. I mean, we already have some variation from Eryx (short range power house) and the Arbiter (long range finisher).

Everyone is forgetting that from 3 there was always a "fun" weapon that is meant to rise the stylish meter I suppose.
