Having to replay levels

Hello, guys. I just started playing DmC, and I'm new to Devil May Cry games in general. What I've seen in these first 3 levels I played is that there are some areas that are simply unreachable until you unlock a specific ability later on in the game, and then replay the level.
For example, I've seen a red door (the one that can be broken only with a demon weapon) in the first level, or some huge gaps that I couldn't jump in level 2, which I know I would be able to jump over with angel jump I got later on.
Now, I don't really like to play the same levels I just played, even on higher difficulty. At least not for a few years, until I forget the whole game, that is. But, by then, I will probably lose my saves, too.
So, what I want to know is, how much of the game will I be missing out in this way, and at what point in game will I unlock all of these abilities? And by abilities, I don't mean all attacks/combos, I just mean all game mechanics related things, like longer jump, higher jump, etc. So far, I've got a demon axe, angel scythe, demon/angel pulls and a long jump.

You'll unlock all weapons for backtracking after finishing mission 10 or 11 I believe. You'd be missing out on a few secret missions, lost souls, maybe a few items too.
The point is DMC games are meant to be played more than once, for completing these secret missions and getting better ranks etc. , well for me that is at least

Yeah, I get that some people like to replay levels for the score and such, I just never liked repeating what I did just so I can get a bigger number. When I play games, I play them for both the story and the challenge, and when I succeed, I don't really care so much about how well I did, I just know I did it.
But, who knows, maybe I actually play this game again once I finish it. (I've said that for Dishonored, God of War, and countless other titles, but never got to actually doing it). Anyways, thanks for the answer. :)

If it helps, you can just wait until finish your first run of the game and then replay all levels on a higher difficulty since you will keep all your unlocked weapons and skills. That way, you can acquiere all the secrets you missed on your first run while playing it on a harder setting, which adds more of a challenge to it.

I hate having to go around searching for crap anyway, the fact that you can't get it all on your first play through is absolutely stupid, especially since I wasted time on some bit that you can't get through without aquila.
