I can beat Hard mode like if it was easy mode previously. I still lose sometimes with the bosses though.
I was trying DMD mode but it was too hard for me.

you can do hard mode, so keep trying and your bound to get better.

yeah I'm currently playing the game on hard, and i found vsing all the bosses again on mission 18 i think hard so i stocked up on like 17 small health stars, funny thing is i didn't really need em due to the practice i got from vsing everything to earn me those items. Though i did find Virgil on the last mission a *****, i used 3 holy waters so i could finish the battle as quick as i could. Yeah the game is really a cake walk once you get really used to the controls and enemies, I've started using royal guard now coz i never used to use it and I'm finding its cool. I'm predicting the game will only get challenging on the last 3 missions of the game as it has on the previous difficulties (this is dmc3 standard, no special edition here)

quick question, my friend who has special edition says the game difficulty was slightly toned down compared to the normal dmc3, is this true?

When you finish it on hard, try DMD if you can.
It it fun to watch Dante die so fast like a chicken.
