All for another hellblade with more combat and gameplay, hopefully a lot more and a longer game.

Loved the first 2 games.
I'm still working my way through the first game, but I do know the second game has less gameplay mechanics going for it. I'm glad you love it though.

Fable’s arrival on PS5 marks a massive shift for the franchise in early 2026. The British humor remains intact, though the shifting Startups ecosystem in game dev is clearly pushing for more complex moral mechanics than the old binary system. It’ll be interesting to see if the actual gameplay fluidity matches the technical hype.

A bunch of former Atlus staff have come together to work on a brand new JRPG. Kouji Okada (Director of Persona 1 and Digital Devil Saga), Tadashi Satomi (Writer of Persona 1, 2 and Digital Devil Saga) and Tsukasa Masuko (composer for SMT1, SMT2, SMT:if, Devil Summoner and Soul Hackers) to name a few.

Needless to say, you have both my curiosity and my attention.

Blizzard adding the Warlock class to 3 Diablo games. D2R also getting new endgame activities and items. Essentially, this is like an expansion for D2. In 2026.

I may get back into D2. I put in 1000s hours in it back in 2000-2004 (xfire had it at like 800ish before I stopped playing and xfire didn't exist before 2003) and possibly $1000s, too.

I started up D2R at launch and thought it was great, but I slowly weened off the bnet launcher. But, now D2R is on Steam. I'm kinda OCD about having historically accurate stats and I've obviously lost my xfire stats for D2. But I can just compartmentalize D2R separately, and I still have the stats for it on Playnite.

Man, what a time to be alive.

Today's highlights for me:
- New Legacy of Kain game + Defiance Remaster. I love the LoK series, although I could not tough it out with BO1 and SR2. I liked Defiance, but just stopped after a while and now I can just easily start over, hopefully with some better cameras + controls.
- Castlevania: Belmont's Curse. CV has always been a series I wanted to dive deeper into, but just never really could stand some of the controls and game design. I have played probably 5 CV games and only finished one (Super 4). But this looks to be right up my alley, hopefully with some modern design sensibilities (i.e. no 2-way dash with shoulder buttons and no cheaply placed enemies requiring pre-emptive knowledge, etc)
- Death Stranding 2 on PC.
- More Dead or Alive!
- Crimson Moon
- Yakoh Shinobi Ops
- John Wick game
- News/updates for previously revealed games like 007, RE9, Pragmata, Beast of Reincarnation, Neva, Marathon, and kinda Marvel Tokon (I'm still on the fence with how excited I am for the game).

Lowlights:
- SH Townfall. Another SH game not set in SH. Which I don't mind. But it better have some connection to the town of SH, even if it's only implied, like SHf's White Claudia reference. But if more and more SH games are not set in SH, then it seems to just be an anthology series and no longer a SH series. But again, kinda depends on how it's all handled. I'm not a fan of the "SH Phenomena" retcon.
