Gamesradar's Hands-On with DmC

Oh, one more thing.

"Dalliance" means "affair," more or less.
There are girls in angel (well, stripper-angel) costumes throughout the crowd.
The "Devil's Dalliance" may be a tongue-in-cheek reference to Sparda's affair with an Angel.

ah, well nice catch kenken! :)
this description really makes me think of the three trials mission in dmc3.

last line:
"We’re eagerly looking forward to diving into Dante’s prequel come mid-January."

It is not a prequel, it has been officially claimed not to be a prequel but not loud enough ...

Devil may cry.org interview:

"Meg: For the sake of clarity, and to put to bed any still-lingering confusion, what would be the most accurate way of describing DmC: reboot, prequel, parallel universe, or something else entirely? How does DmC fit into the series?

DM: You can compare what DmC is in contrast to the previous 4 games with what Christopher Nolan’s Batman is in contrast to Adam West’s Batman from the 60’s. The game doesn’t sit within the timeline of the previous 4 games, however fans of the existing series will find familiarity with some of DmC’s themes and characters."

yeah i still think some gaming sites are uninformed about it not being a prequel and probably don't follow information as closely as we do.

yeah, for example I can remember a DMC4 French video review in which the guy hadn't understood Dante's style switch! xD
We can agree that they aren't absolutely crazy about it but still...there are a few basic things to know xD
