The latest issue of GI had something (brief but) nice to say about the new DmC game. This is apart of its "Killer Looks" feature on pg. 34-35.

Heavenly Sword's Ninja Theory takes the reins of this iconic series for this prequel reboot. Naturally there has been lots of debate over Dante's looks, but seeing the trailer in action shows that Ninja Theory is very capable of bringing to life the series' signature stylistic action. Perhaps as even a nod to the franchise's earlier games, in the trailer Dante's hair turns white when he enters what may be a form of the original games' Devil Trigger.

Personally I couldn't disagree more with the prospect that the trailer captures DMC's signature style because all I see is bland carbon copy hack n' slash, but since the game is still in pre-alpha stage I'm not allowed to think that so ;).

Sarcasm aside, just thought I'd share this little bit of happiness curtsey of Game Informer. :)

I also disagree with them.

There really was nothing "stylish" about that trailer, atleast not in my eyes anyway.

Just a guy going around simply slashing demons.

I really did not see the classic DMC flair of stylish combos and attacks so I could not disagree with Game Informer even more.

But indeed it is a early trailer and maybe they will make it better but currently I think the gameplay in the trailer really did not have the DMC "flair" to it.

Also could you post the original link the the article?

Gameplay still reminds me of Heavenly Sword and Prototype so I couldn't disagree with them more about it having the DMC flare

And when Dante glowed blue *if I recall he does* it reminded me of the Speed Stance tbh

No because I didn't find it online. It was in the hardcopy of the magazine that I saw it. That's why I included the page numbers. :)

Oh.......

We'll All I really just wanted to see was other peoples reaction to the article.

Guess I will have to wait for others to post here.:)

Y'know, you guys seem chill about DmC. I respect that. I went on Capcom Unity and everyone but about three *two were trolls* disliked DmC. Well, so far...

From what I see, I'm liking the new DMC. Sure, some of the stages look really familiar, but familiarity can be advantageous. Play style I'm expecting to be tight, and top-notch, just as in all the DMC predecessors. But so far, GI seems to commend Ninja Theory and what's out there so far. So that's a hopeful sign for sure.

seems like GameInformer is fulla *censored* oh right...
ON TOPIC: from what I've seen, the only thing remotely resembling the "Original flair" would be...ummm....

I think they're going in the right direction. Such as making Aerial Rave an actual air combo now, and giving Dante a grab move. The gameplay reminds me much more of DMC4 than it does of Heavenly Sword, but I haven't played that.

The Grab move for Dante is essentially devil bringer for Dante. Some nice combo work can come off that simple attack.

AR wasn't a combo? always considered it one...n a grab move...FINALLY!!

They have a jump button
U MEAN DANTE USED TO SUFFER FROM SPENCER RADD'S DISEASE?!? XD

He suffered from arthritis oh lord I didn't spell that right in DMC2 due to being an old man >:U

Hopefully they add in a dodge button, no?

I sure hope so, it's annoying going from Bayonetta to DMC4 where I press the dodge button, only to remember there is none... plus it's just helpful~
