BAFTA game award nominees announced
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has come away with the most nominations for this year's BAFTA game awards, with Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Call Of Duty: Black Ops also on the short list.
Last year's Assassin's Creed game has picked up six award nominations, including best game, best multiplayer and technical achievement. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Call Of Duty: Black Ops will also be unlucky to go home empty-handed, as they both have five nominations each.
If you're wondering where Red Dead Redemption went to though Rockstar Games refused to allow it to be entered into consideration.
They never said why, but we understand that the short-listing for games is dependent on a certain level of sales success, not just artistic merit. So maybe they got upset about that. We know we did when we found out.
Anyway, the winners will be announced on 15th March at a swanky London venue that we imagine we've just got ourselves barred from.
