If you look in the DMC combat demo, you'll notice that at 0:48, Dante does this back flip move in the air. So I wonder, what was that to be? Some kind of special move?

Huh, I thought the whole flipping in the air would come naturally to him, since he does a lot of acrobatic stuff mid air...
It's suppose to be charging up for some special attack. By the way, you double posted.^_^
It may be just part of a late extended Double jump, or perhaps it's an directionless mid-air dodge. Looks pretty neat either way.
