E3 gameplay looking

DragonMaster2010

Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall
I've decided to look at some PS3 DmC gameplay that Berto was playing to check out some stuff with it. Here are two videos that caught my attention for certain reasons.

This one caught my attention because in the beginning of gameplay, i notice the quickness of switching between gun and swordplay is pretty fast and really combo worthy. I'd want to see more of that, and some moves that would good to jump cancel to.

This one caught my eye because of it's great looking color and graphics. There are a few small glitches like when he does the drive move at 1:50 there seems to be a bit of the drive charge still in his hand while he's running.

yeah, i'm drawn between the two consoles. i don't know which one to get it on, i like the ps3 controller, and to me the graphics actually look better on ps3. but most unreal engine games run better on xbox 360, and plus i like achievements more. :P

Wow, some PS3 footage finally! The visuals looks stunning. But I hope they fix these little issues because NT's previous title "Enslaved" had quite a lot of glitches in the PS3 version.

Actually, UT3 ran better on PS3, and the creators recommended the PS3 version over the 360 version.
Personally, I find zero difference between Trophies and Achievements.

i've heard the complete opposite, but idk. the only game i can really tell the difference with on different engines is bayonetta. (god that was an awful ps3 port)
idk i just hate trophies, and the noise that it makes drives me crazy! it's annoying! lol but again a very small little pet peeve.

Well, that's because it was a port. If it's not made for that console or developed simultaneously with the other versions, it's obviously going to be awful. That's what happened to Enslaved, Bayonetta, and many more. Just look at God of War III, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Infamous 2. These games far succeed any Unreal game that's multi-platformed.
Sadly, most PS3 games are ports, which give people bad impressions of the console, which is in fact, far superior to Microsoft's machine.

Also, I hate the 360's bleep bloop sound effect.

Oh yeah, example of what I was saying:

Batman, Arkham Asylum was a PS3 exclusive, and it ran amazingly. WB made a functional port of it, unlike Sega did for Bayonetta.

Arkham City was developed for both consoles and released on both consoles, and it still ran amazingly. Such is the case for most games running any engine, in my opinion.

Ports can be done well, especially Unreal games. It's just that most game developers are to lazy.
In fact, The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition had a fantastic port for the 360. Why? Because the developers took a whole year to create it! They took a lot of time and effort and felt proud to finally make something for the consoles.

Both Batman titles ran amazingly in the PS3 because they had a massive number of tech engineers behind it! I played Bayonetta in PS3 and I must say that it completely ruined my game experience. I don't even want to talk about SKYRIM.

Skyrim isn't so bad with the patches... but I prefer playing Bethesda games on PC anyway, so it didn't ruin my experience.
It did surprise however. Since Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas ran great, I'd say even better than the 360. A huge let down.

Yeah, it was a huge let down. The problem is when you buy a quite expensive game by your hard earned cash, you expect it to be good. Who wants to play a game with so much bugs and glitches that makes you insanely mad! I do agree that there are strength and weakness of the consoles but there should be no excuse or whatsoever when they confirms that the game runs same in both of the console.

Agreed. Unfortunately, I actually did buy it for PS3 without hearing about it's bugs. After the huge patch recently, it runs better.

Anyway, DmC looks great for PS3, and I'm liking the control scheme so far.

Come to think of it, it may play better on the 360 controller.

I like the PS3 more myself, but it will likely feel more natural holding down triggers when there are actual triggers to hold down instead of R/L2 buttons.

I'm likely getting it on the PS3 myself anyway.

It’s great to see the PS3 gameplays~ Since I am going to buy DmC as a PS3 game. To me the control scheme looks good, I just hope I won’t be killing my fingers when forced to hold down the back buttons for long times. In Heavenly Sword my fingers got kind of achy from that, and all of the DMC games get my hands cramp in a rather short time, so I have to take pauses here and there or else I’ll mess up because I can’t move my convulsing fingers quick enough, lol.
But really, the game looks awesome! I am so envious to the people who got the chance to test play the game. Too bad I live in a different country and couldn’t just decide “oh yeah, I feel like going there so I’ll go and have a great time!”. Instead of testing it myself, I just have to get my fill by watching other guys play it. By the way, it’s fun to hear the guy playing the game laugh and make sounds of being impressed. He sounds like enjoying himself, which is good, since games are for that.

I feel your pain bro. I want to play it too but I can't ride a plane to wherever it is and play it:(
