Doubt of Cutscene of Chapter 15

Hey people i have one doubt of the begining of chapter 15,when happens the trade of Lilith for Kat so Vergil shoot with a sniper on the belly and after that theother shoot was on the head of lilith, but can't know who shoot? but was Vergil who shoot ??? i mean in the chapter 19 Mandus ask to dante ´´why you kill my child´´ anyway that looks like a error or im wrong??

Vergil shoots Lilith 2 times.
Mundus did not see who shot. He only knew that Lilith and his child were dead. When Dante appears, Mundus thinks he did it.
Dante is asked by Vergil to make Mundus angry, so Dante lies and agrees with Mundus that he did kill the child.
