anyone else excited to play this on ultra nightmare with the custom difficulty sliders maxed for added challenge?, or am i just a lunatic ha ha

Can't wait to play this, anyone else looking forward to it?

I bought the collectors edition right after the dev direct ended

I am looking forward to it, i really hope the new melee glory kills can be upgraded and chained together. The glory kills in eternal were amazing so i will miss those, but hacking sawing and punching off limbs and chunks of demons with full control could be cool too so i can't wait.

Was excited for this until I learned it'll have difficulty sliders the other day.

No, I am not against easy modes or different difficulty levels (also apparently now, difficulty settings are considered "woke" lol). Checkboxes of certain features or stats, I can support that, too. But I tend to not trust games to be balanced properly around sliders. They just make me think of lazy or unthorough balancing and the devs just saying "eh, just add sliders". Like, if I change my dmg slider to 110% and enemy HP slider to 90%, that's just a 20% swing, but if the game just feels better, I'll think the devs didn't know what they were doing.

Those sliders work both ways though and can also make it tougher and faster, and game will still have default difficulties which have set parameters

So nightmare and ultra nightmare will still be as hard as they always are, but i get the concern and can respect it.

I myself plan to play on ultra nightmare as i always do, and put the game speed to 150% and i love that it is possible. Oh and also the sliders effect trophies and achievements afaik, so if people use them they will not get the trophy or achievement for clearing the game on the difficulty they chose.

Never played dead cells as not into those kinds of games, but i too do not like assist modes or easy auto like in DMC. I love a good challenge so i prefer max difficulty, so will play dark ages on un and beat it, and then go play the missions again with soeed up to max and enemies to max just for fun.
