Does dante still really care about the human race like he did in the original series? In DMC3 I just thought he didn't and just wanted to have fun, but decided he needs to be serious about this job in order to save the human race. DmC Dante fights demons for revenge and kills them to be cruel and sadistic. But I wonder, does this Dante even care about the human race or does he just ignore them and does his own thing.

Even in the first DMC, Dante never really seemed all that passionate about ensuring the survival of humans. At least, I didn't get a feeling that He did anyway.

But in saying that, I'm sure he still holds them in high regard, and respects the ones He chooses to loosely associate himself with, like The Order and Kat for example.

i rather he fight for revenge and then figure out his own reason for fighting for humanity as a whole.

That's what I'm hoping for. It's a great character build up. DMC1 and 3 showed how Dante sort of changed throughout the game, that only helps strengthen the plot much more.

Revenge.

Dante cannot really trust anyone since he was born and i'm kinda surprised about why he is even working for the Order. Maybe all Dante needs is a lead and he'll take care of the rest.
I think Dante, as of now, can already detect demons hiding as humans. just like dmc4 when he shoots the guy in the face in front of everyone.
Killing demons is basically helping humans out anyways so unintentinally he's doing the right thing

I think he's driven by revenge. He has no human blood, so I doubt he cares much for humans. But the leader of the Order, who may or may not be Vergil, does seem to care about humans, since he started the Order to protect humans.

But Dante could still care for humans. He knocked the Virility can out of that man's hand, he says "It'll kill ya."
It makes me feel he did it to protect him, since something is wrong with Virility. He also did it at the price of his discretion.

consider that human are the reason demons are so strong to begin with. It's that dante hate humans or doesn't like them he just sees them as ignorant or stupid.

Since Dante is half Angel, he might not just think humans are ignorant and stupid he may believe that some humans aren;t easily manipulated by demons and maybe at some point in the story he actually shows some kind of pity for them.
The way he acts around Kat shows me that he does have concern for her safety.

but that could be either he doesnt want her to die or he doesnt want her to die because of info

basically like sparda? he doesn't have to like them but he ends up saving them out of pity maybe there'll be an influence that affects him to that point, maybe kat?

It was stated in his bio that he "Fights for the little guy". So he does care for the welfare of the disadvantaged. (Meaning people vs demons that control them)

Yeah, I'm not sure how they will reconcile this 'punk attitude' (f*ck everything) with someone who is also part-'angel'. XD

it should be both...like before he joins the order he's reckless and completely shows no interest in helping the people around him since he's not one of them and he feels alienated. Then he helps Kat, when she is in trouble, and is taken to he orders headquarters. There he speaks to the leader (masked man) and has a debate on why he should bother helping the people that don't care about him. Then he has an epiphany or something and has a change of heart, while retaining his vengeful tendencies.
