DMC4 PC Savegame behavior

Howdy DMC pros,

Just discovered the awesomeness that is DMC by installing DMC 4 PC.

However, I noticed that DMC 4 only saves the beginning of each mission; instead of saving your actual progress in a mission; like some or most PC games.

Is this normal? and is there a way to save your "actual" progress and position in a mission.

I tried some trainers... but they only start you at the beginning of each mission.

in all devil may cry games it is possible to save mid-mission however it will only save
1.what mission you are on
2.how many red orbs you have
3.what items you have ( not key items)

progress within the mission is never saved.
