Do you have to beat the game to be Dante?

No, you get to use Dante after mission 11, and use him for missions 12 through 18.

I doubt it nero has to use the devil bringer in his missions to solve puzzles and open doors

dante cant do things like the grim grip

You can say that again. That my biggest gripe about the game. But yeah Bomber, missions 11-18 all dante.

I'm actually okay with how much Dante they had in the game. Sure, a 50/50 split would be better, but I didn't feel deprived of him, and Nero is pretty fun to play as the rest of the time.

Im on misson 19 now but I think it woulda been better if when you beat the game you unlock Dantes story kinda like in DMC3 with Vergil and Neros fun to play as since hes got the devil bringer and all
