DmC2 - Angels: Allies or Enemies

Will angels be allies to Dante or enemies?

There's gotta be some angels that will aid him. Some old friends of Eva.

Enemies. Except Azrael, angel of death and (possibly) Eva's dad. The rest are assholes who love the idea of humanity but not the humans themselves

enemies. even though the term "nephilim" is used incorrectly, i still think god will be against the "perversion' of one of his children mating with something other than another angel. i do hope azrael (angel of death) is an ally to dante like phineas was a demonic ally to dante.
and i say azrael in particular because i believe that eva was a bad ass death angel (because her power gave dante a scythe of all weapons) and that she would have befriended azrael in the past

I think it'll be a mix. Some will be his enemies, some will be his allies. He might even end up with more demon allies later on.

it makes things more interesting as Dante has to decide who he can trust.

I think its obvious why would they be friends with Dante ? wouldn't the game be a tad boring if everyone just becomes friends ?

I'd see Azrael allying with Dante and helping him gain the angels' trust. They'll be enemies of Dante at first until Azrael helps him enter heaven and enter their council.

Dante defeats one of the angels' strongest warrior, but spares him and gains their trust by sharing the words his mother, Eva, to them and what she taught him about life.

Enemy, definitely it would be nice to see the Angels go after Sparda as well as Dante and Vergil, but in a different way.

Also, I would like to see an all-out war between humans, angels and demons for control over the Earth.

You made me think of the Prophecy films. There was a rebel group, but they were trying to destroy humanity, not help someone save it. Maybe NT could use that idea so the angels have to work with Dante, just as the angels in The Prophecy had to work with humans. He'd still end up doing a lot of it on his own if they went that route. At the end of P2 they let fate decide what would happen.
