It's a tease for the story trailer.
Douchebags just give me the damn story trailer already

Was that even a trailer? I got my popcorn ready for nothing.

You threw away POPCORN?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOES!

I was eager to taste the sweet joy of popcorn, but the trailer was over before the first piece had even grazed past my lips. My taste-buds, which were seeking to indulge on the delectable buttery popcorn, went unsatisfied. Hence the popcorn was deemed as spoiled. And spoiled food in my house must be thrown away. I shed a few tears, it got a good burial.

Anyway, the last thing Dante says in the trailer is "My guns". It's like, "No really Dante? What did you think they were?". I'm sure it sounds like he's checking that they are still on him or something lol Like he really hasn't been demon hunting that long. After it cut off I think he says something like, "Hope I brought my sword too. I mean, damn if I didn't".

^ maybe he was being sarcastic, like it's in a cutscene and he's talking to a demon/vergil....similar to DMC3 where he's talking to vergil and is like "how about a kiss from your little brother. Better yet, how about a kiss from this!" and he whips out the pistol...could be like that since they cut the material to fit the trailer

That little trailer is missing a second or two from the ending, but in those tiny moments Dante lands on the ground and points his pistols at something and there are Japanese subs of "Finally we met".

really?
is there anything else about the stage demo that was in japanese that was new about the game?

any luck on watching the video?
i would really appreciate a translation of the interview at TGS.

Yeah, I was able to watch the video finally. But sadly, everything I could understand of the Japanese talking was stuff that is already in known. Though, it seemed that they didn't say that much anyway; just the same old stuff with different wording. They sure know how to keep secrets.

But I was left thinking, why were Dante's pistols tied to a red ribbon up in the air? Dante himself seemed baffled, too, haha.

^ it could be dante was seperated from his guns and when the atmosphere changed, it got stuck int the strings.
