DmC - Sparda's/Eva's Downfall

So, I had an idea for a DLC or expansion pack for DmC and it's potential future sequels. Two of them actually.

The first, Sparda's Downfall. Since it seems to be a reoccurring theme of our heroes falling at great heights and then later emerging from the abyss, unveiling what they've emerged into too ultimately. This fall is of the Legendary Dark Knight and the part he played in a forbidden love with a holy angel. The story would depict a far more archaic demon underworld, one that hasn't yet grasped our world, the human world. We see Sparda rise through the ranks of the demon hoards alongside his blood brother, Mundus. Their relationship starts off showing how much they trust one another, similar to Dante and Vergil's bond, though this one has lasted for many more years. The story will also show how Sparda met Eva and eventually fell in love. I myself haven't thought it out how they meet, but the trust between Sparda and the other demons disintegrates before his very eyes. It ends climatically with Sparda and Mundus facing off, before Sparda flees after a sort-of-victory, leaving the demon kingdom behind. We will also see his eventual capture and torture, but more importantly, his banishment and hint at a future return.

Eva's Downfall, the second of these DLC's is far more tragic and forlorn. I had in mind that Sparda's DLC story would involve more action and heavy emphasis on combat. However, I had trouble coming up with gameplay scenarios for Eva, since I know absolutely nothing of how angels function in DmC. But, if NT were to develop this, maybe they could shed some light on how the angels work and live, and also how they contrast with the cruel, merciless demons. Unlike the feeling of despair and distrust that Sparda encounters with the demons, maybe Eva is greeted with comfort and warmness. I'd also enjoy if it illustrated the interactions with her close son Dante, and also shed some light on how Vergil acted in his youth. Maybe Vergil was more his father's son, and Dante was closer to his mom, which we see in the finale of DmC. Overall, it would complete with Eva's unfortunate and brutal demise, witnessed of course by a young Dante.

So yeah. Fill in anything you'd like to see in a DLC like this, or if you'd handle it differently.
Peace.

off topic- love your sig, my favorite spider-man series yet
on topic- what if eva and sparda met in battle. they were acting as spies/scouts and ran into eachother? then after they fall in love blah blah blah, they have the twins. as for eva's story and heaven, from what i've researched, heaven is pretty muh like hell, minus the human soul suffering thing. angels are just as cold as demons, yet they aim to protect us where as demons just want us corrupted. so eva's strange emotions sour her relationships with some of her friends and even the angel she was dating (where she could reveal that she fell in love with a demon and there is some sort of falling out). eva runs away from heaven and in the end, we see her trying to fight the demons off and dying because she wasn't expecting to see mundus at the battle

I could see that. Tons of our own here speculated that Eva was some sort of angel bad ass considering the birthright she left to Dante was a huge scythe. I could see maybe Eva being much more cold, disconnected and calculating while Sparda is much more hot headed and acts on his gut. Or, maybe they're both a bit more human, which makes them stick out of their specific race of people. It's something I really want Ninja Theory to toy with. The plot practically writes itself with as many possibilities there are.

wouldn't it be ironic if eva and sparda were more human that actual humans.
"sometimes, humans can be worse than those damn demons"- Dante Sparda

Yes, we need some epic, orchestral score for the fight scenes as well. Instead of heavy metal and industrial music that plays when Dante is kicking ass, Sparda's fight music is a bit more grandiose. Maybe along the lines of this.

Wow, I really like this idea of dlc telling Eva and Sparda's story!

As for music, we need choirs for Eva and angels, I'd say.

And I agree with Jak, I think it would be much more interesting if angels were even much colder than demons. I imagined demons as creatures that followed instincts, while angels as creatures of rationality.
What about Eva meeting with a glacial wall of contempt for her actions and being simply thrown away from heaven, while Sparda's intentions being (at first) mistook by demons for simple lust and desire to see that particular angel "sullied"?

EDIT
I was thinking, since both their stories seem complex enough, why not imagining a whole spinoff, that alternates between Eva and Sparda's missions?

I want to really delve into how close Sparda and Mundus were. They were more than friends, they were practically brothers. Sparda's betrayal drives Mundus to a breaking point, changing him forever and turning him into the evil demon king.
This song perfectly embodies that.

As for Eva, it calls for something different. Something a bit more subtle. Especially since her DLC would be more story driven, and therefore, more emotional moments considering the events. Sparda's story is more of brotherhood and distrust while Eva's is a mix of hope and tragedy. A melancholic tale of love.

Here's a few favorite tracks of mine that I would pick to tell such a tale.

This would fit perfectly for the finale, the death of Eva by Mundus's hand as Dante watches.
It's tragic and forlorn, with a small sense of hope lingering.

If not heavy orchestral music, why not some old school heavy metal? It would make sense considering that Sparda is before Dante's time. Dante is the new age of punk, while Sparda was the old. Throw in some Motorhead and Black Sabbath and you have one hell of an adrenaline filled action adventure.
