DmC Sound/Music Interview Confirms Hour And A Half Of Cutscenes

Alittleacorn

Smile it confuses people
I'd have a watch, it's really interesting to hear how the music was put together =D

The mention on cutscenes is brought up during part two. Live action movie please <3!

Other things brought up:
Dante's music has a mix of guitar and...stuff (I forgot >_< hopefully not squirrel spunk)
Music plays to the distrust the player has of Vergil.
Kat's music is the most natural sounding (figures, I knew it'd be this  )
Kat helps bring out Dante's humanity (we knew that but it goes more in detail about that)

Also if you pay attention you can see the half rendered scenes of some cutscenes playing on the computer.

This is very intriguing!
I love the work composers put into musical scores, as well as just sound in general.
A great example is Hans Zimmer's and James Newton Howard's The Dark Knight Trilogy OST.

Very interesting, so it's basically the same running time that DMC 3 had, about 1 hour and half of cuscenes.

I was expecting a little more ( 2 hours at least), considering that every review mentions that the game is story heavy. ;)

Well the guy was just guestimating so it might be closer to 2 hours for all we know.

I'm hoping it is more than the guesstimation seeing as the game is supposed to be very story heavy. Well, so long as there isn't the cliché evil villain speach about their big plan taking up most of the cutscene time.>_<
Then again, I can't see Mundus doing that. He's more likely to start a swearing competiton wih Dante. :P

Dante: Argh! **** you infinity!

Dante: Haha! Gotcha! >8D
