DMC Sequel; How would you do it?

So.I'm looking at the new DMC game, looks like it's gonna be pretty cool but I just can get over the new Dante. And I'm watching the trailers and such and I was thinking to myself about all the other storylines for a DMC sequel, picking up from Dante riding into Hell on his motorcycle at the end of DMC 2.

Personally I LOVE Vergil :) (No Homo) so naturally my storyline includes, it'd be too hard for me not to include him.

So I was thinking something along the lines of Dante finds Vergil's like "Heart" or "Soul" in Hell. Dante then Dante goes throughout Hell trying to find a way revive him. He finds the key and revives Vergil. Just as Dante says his name a large demon attacks. Dante and Vergil team up again and take down the demon, but as a last ditch effort the demon cast a large spell and a bright flash of light appears. When Dante wakes up he finds himself alone. He gets up only to be quickly attacked by demons. He swiftly takes care of the demons then goes to search for Vergil. He goes into a village and asks if anyone's seen Vergil. While asking around he notices that the people in the village aren't humans, but rather demons! He then overhears two demons talking about "Killing the humans" and "Thanking the Demon King Sparda" Dante then comes to the conclusion: He's been sent back in time!

So that's my idea. Like? Dislike? Problems? Share your ideas and how you would make a sequel to DMC 2, I look forward to seeing all of your ideas! :)

It seems like all these "what if" continuations involve Vergil coming back as soon as possible and no real build up to that point. I would like to see Vergil again, but I want him to come back in a more mysterious way and it not happen right away.

Personally, I would make a sequel that answers some questions instead of it being some fanfic. I'm pretty sure I made it clear by now that I would want a game based entirely on the Legend of Sparda.

I'd just continue with Dante trying to figure what it means to be a hero. I feel that DmC is taking a page out of DMC3's handbook and having Dante find out his own reason for fighting. So after he decides to be a hero, lets have him deal with what that actually means.

Thats what the series should have done after DMC3 instead of jumping twenty years where we get boring lame dante training his replacement.

A sequel to this game? Go over Sparda's story.

A sequel to the classic series? Go over Sparda's story.

It may be a fairly interesting one.

no no no no aaand no, Capcom needs to take a creative break from DMC, empty the **** from their heads and ask/beg that Kamiya would join them for Devil Never Cry. DmC on the other hand has a future as long as Capcom won't interfere too much on the work of NT...:shifty:

I'd like the game to have a morally confused Dante, still trying to understand his duties as a demon hunter.
I'd also like to see him struggling to run a newly opened Devil May Cry.

I'd like this too. In DMC3 Dante couldn't even pic a name yet and he was already gettin' calls. (Manga not part of canon apparently) For this Dante, I'd want him to use the orders hideout, if Vergil betrays it, and rename it Devil May Cry. That or he finds his own office and names it that as well. If it's the second one, I'd want him to struggle with it, from hardly getting calls once opened, to the lights going out at random times. Just the normal stuff.^_^

I just hope Capcom doesn't do a stupid move like they did with DMC2 behind Kamiya's back. If Kamiya does come back to do the original series, we'd probably get Bayonetta and Original Dante together!:D That must happen!

I'm intersted in seeing the world outside of limbo city and im interested in seeing some new blood in terms of characters.

Japan, perhaps? Maybe even England! I'd like to see how NT makes an England Limbo.^_^

For DmC...maybe but most likely no.

For the classic series...no. It would ruin the games and Sparda's Legend. What makes Sparda intresting is the Legend and his Myth. If we had a game to explain what happened then it spoil the classic games and if they decide to make another classic DMC game it would spoil that one too.

It is just like the mystery about The Stig from Top Gear. What made it interesting was finding out who he was. Soon as he reveled himself they had to change him because it would have become boring when they show The Stig but everyone knows who it is.

The mystery is far more exciting then the discovery.

Well taking into account that DmC Dante has the British Flag on his shoulder suggests that he has been to Britain or that he was born/conceived their so maybe DmC2 might be in Britain.

Devil Never Cry was going to be the name for the Devil May Cry Sequel and if they can get Kamiya back for it then it would be great.

And hoping Capcom want interfere too much is like hoping your parents won't interfere with your life too much. Not going to happen.

I don't want a game that goes over Sparda's story. Lets keep him mysterious...

Unfortunately a lot of fans do want a game going over Sparda's story. But as I said, the mystery is far more exciting then the discovery.

They can't, the more DMC games come out, the more details they'll have to give about him

You better for the sake of that statement that the game never comes out.

I do hope it never comes out.

Don't say that. The Legend of Sparda is all that DMC's got.

And it will ruin the mystery, the legend and the myth of Sparda if it does come out. As I said the mystery is far more exciting then the discovery. Soon as you find out know for a fact that Sparda will not be as interesting as in the other games because it will be like, "Oh yer Sparda...turned on his own kind...saved the humans blah blah blah."
