DmC: Rise of the Fallen Angel

Zarathustra

The Forsaken Offspring of Heaven and Hell
Alrighty, about to set up my first role-play thread up here. But before I set the wheels in motion, allow me to set a few ground rules aside from the obvious basics.

1. Cursing - Because we all know that the DmC series is M-rated for obvious reasons, you are free to use as much cursing as you want, so long as I don't a wall of text with it every other five words. There was cursing in DmC, but nothing like you'd find in Grand Theft Auto or whatever. Agreed?

2. Gore - Obviously you are free to depict as much gore as you want. But only as much as seen in the DmC series. I don't want anybody going all God of War and trying to rip out an enemies intestines and such, oh no. All I'll ask for at most is a person getting impale by a blade, and blood spraying everywhere. Otherwise, it's blood splatters, and creatures being smashed to pieces/dust/whatever.

3. Romance - This might not fly with all of you, but honestly, that's not exactly my problem. The limitations set on this are PG-13 at highest. You can hug, kiss, make-out, cuddle snuggle and all of that. But anything further, you keep it strictly to MILD STRIPPING. That being you can remove each other's shirts or whatever. No further detail than that. And yes, I will allow same sex couples. I mean c'mon, you know it's gonna happen eventually, right?

4. Format - Even if it's not your style of play, or you're not 100% comfortable with it, I'd very much appreciate it if you guys would try to put your post in paragraph formatted detail. Not saying you have to write up a novel or anything, just at least five complete sentences that give someone an idea so they can follow along.

5. Have fun!!

Now then, about that RP....

Edit: Also, for those of you who wish to play as Canon characters(Dante, Vergil, Nero, etc), by all means, go for it. Just be sure to stick as close to the character as possible. Otherwise, feel free to do as you please(within reason).

Limbo City...a giant cesspool full of humans wallowing around in their own filth. A shining example of just how far mankind has fallen, no help from the "Higher-Ups", or the "Men Down Below". Oh, right. You probably have no clue what I'm talking about, do ya? Well, lemme put it this way. This city here, is actually a gateway between Heaven and Hell. Yeah, those actually do exist. But see, the stupid thing is, that it exists for both directions, and yet only one side is more active than the other. Yeah, you guessed it. The demons love to come out and play on a daily basis in Limbo. And I'm not just talking about the city, either.

Oh, what's that? You didn't think there was an in-between spot in all of this? Uh, ever heard of 'purgatory'? Yep! This would be it. I mean, come on, what other place would act as a gateway between Heaven, Hell, and the mortal realm? Seriously! But in any case, it's not just them who are making this dump what it is today. I mean, sure, the demons practically have them in the palm of their hands. The cameras watch them, drinks poison them, their media brainwashes them, and uh...what else was it? Ah! The banking system! Haha! It enslaves them...however, if we're really to put any blame on the humans, it's simply for the fact that they make it so easy, what with their own selfish wants, the contempt they hold over one another and themselves only makes their chances of taking over even higher! Ah well. Maybe they'd be better off? Pfft! Yeah, if they got picked apart by a hordes of Ravenor. But that isn't in my hands. Besides, who else am I gonna cause trouble for if I get bored?

The sound of a pigeon could be heard as it pecked bread crumbs from a boy's hand. A young man of sixteen years by appearance was perched upon a gargoyle upon the local cathedral at the heart of the city. This boy went by the name of 'Rain Zarathustra', however, his true name was unknown. He was no ordinary boy by any means, given that, you know, he was sitting near the top of a church and all. The boy in question would be clad in a ragged red cloak, a black sword with wings on the guard embroidered on the back, silver bracers clad to his arms. A pair of black jeans was worn upon his lower body. He'd look down at the pigeon and eventually laugh at himself a bit, shaking his head as he ruffled his blonde hair a bit. "Hehe...damn. Talking to a bird about all the **** going down here? Damn, I must be outta my mind.", he'd say, brow soon quirking at a strangely familiar sound.

Aaaaastruuuuummm...

It was then and there that the landscape before him changed in an instant, his eyes already darting about the area as though searching for a target. "C'mon...c'mon, where the hell are ya, ya son of a bitch?", he hissed, licking his lips lightly as he gazed over the city. Soon, his pupils would dilate, sight zooming in like eagle vision as he spotted his 'quarry', a couple of Hell Dolls and Crying Angels wreaking havoc about the street. He'd smile to himself as he let out a sort of gleeful giggle, rising upright on his feet as the creatures drew closer toward the cathedral. "Well, well, well...looks like my session's done for the day.", he'd say, turning to the pigeon he'd be talking to and offering a quick salute. "Thanks for listenin', doc. Put the charges on my bill.", he'd say, soon leaning forward until he fell from the highest point of the building, rolling his body forward with the momentum and landing among the rabble around him with a slight quake beneath his feet, the aftershock rippling lightly through the pavement and tickling beneath the feet of the mortal realm.

However, he wasn't the only one who would be able to see this phenomena. Surely there were others such as himself who were witnessing the very same thing. Whether they were far or near, he wouldn't know. But as far as he was concerned as blades extended from his bracers, these were nothing but disgusting demon scum. And they sure as hell weren't welcome in his town!

In the midst of this disgustingly dark and demonic alteration upon the very City itself, another was lurking around trying to get along with a peaceful life. "Can't they let us have anything to ourselves?" he asked himself, drawing a gun from its holster. It was his own unique gun, handed down to him from family many years ago. Family was something he no longer had. They were gone now to a better place. But for him he was still battling these demons. He had been ever since he trained himself to fight a few years back. He knew there were a select few. The rebel fighters. He didn't speak to any of them.
"The Cathedral huh? Okay. I have some time to play your games" he said, rushing towards the scene of the incident.
