DMC News General

Not "news" per se, but interesting nonetheless.

"Capcom has announced a new line of illustrated merchandise created by in-house artist Chisato Mita. The collection will receive early sales starting February 13, 2026, alongside the grand opening of the Capcom Store Ikebukuro branch. For this collection, Mita created new artwork featuring nine characters from seven Capcom franchises, depicting Phoenix Wright, a Palico, Mega Man, Chun-Li, Ryu, Morrigan, Leon, Claire, and Dante."

New rumor circulating that they'll announce the new DMC on Feb 12 for the PS Direct. Like any rumor, don't take it seriously, just know that there is word from 'trusted' sources.

I will definitely take this with a pinch of salt. Interesting, though.

One person saying it out of nowhere doesn't warrant much excitement for me, would be fantastic if true and will be a day one buy.

Though like with all things, i will believe it only after i see it.

Ok. This is clearly fake but people really go out of their way to make it look real.

Nobody even mentions it? Slow business day.

As it turn out, this was taken from a youtube video:
it looks fine and its cool to see Nell again.

im mixed on it tho and wished its take on Dante was more than just the DMC3/Manga version. I like DMC3's take but the novelty can wear off. Its similar to how i feel about Deadpool and Spike from Buffy.

Those characters can be fun but without more material that gives them more range, they can become stale.

the funny thing is i wouldve preffered something more akin to DmC TGS10 but back then, i wanted more DMC3 dante.

so be careful what you wish for lol.

So, rumors are indicating that DMC5's release will be on August. That's DMC's 25th anniversary. I still hold reservations but it if it's coming from all over the place there might be so legitimacy.

So, yeah, 5 is coming to the NSW2. What an underwhelming announcement. They even skipped 4 and DmC so, so much for my theory.

Digital edition is $30 for pre-orders on the E-Shop, $40 at regular price. Physical edition will release in August 28.

Edit:
There doesn't seem to be a listing for Turbo mode nor LDK. LDK seems like something that might be a bit much to ask for on SW2 but Turbo I don't get. Then again, just because they're not listed doesn't have it.

To me, it is not underwhelming at all, though it makes no sense to skip 4. I can agree to that. As much as I like the Definitive Edition of DmC, it not getting a Switch 2 release makes sense. Capcom is not gonna get much money out this, even though they can more than afford it. I am happy for Switch 2 owners

Well, I'm glad you like it but I personally found it all very dispassionate. It was a short trailer amongst a whole bunch of trailers and they aren't even announcing a physical release for the Americas. This is all we've gotten for the 25th anniversary of the franchise? What basically accumulates to a quick mention for a release in two weeks? No fanfare, a few missing features and nothing added to the content of the game. They didn't even bother to make a new key artwork for the game.

Upsetting as it is, it's nothing new, as they didn't make physical versions for DMC1-3 on Switch either. And we all remember about the whole bull that was not making a physical version for DMC4SE outside of asian territories. I got lucky and snagged a copy from i use game store out in Troy about eight or nine months ago.

E3 is dead, and SGF already happened. Maybe at TGS, but i'm not getting my hopes up personally.
