Capcom has officially confirmed that Ninja Theory’s DmC Devil May Cry will not be making an appearance at Gamescom. That’s not too surprising, as the title was not included in the company’s announced lineup for the trade show.

However, it sounds like the title could be represented in some form. We could be getting a new trailer next week, or perhaps new screenshots. After all, a notice on the game’s Facebook page said that new images would be released soon.

lack of a playable demo is actually a good thing. it means Capcom and Ninja Theory are planning on doing a lot more with the gameplay. the work in progress gameplay trailer showed potential but it needs alot of work. the longer Capcom And Ninja Theory spend on this game the better the chance that we will get something worthy of the name Devil May Cry. if they spend enough time on it it might even be as good as 1 and 3 (Capcom seems to alternate between good and "bad" Devil May Cry games and 4 was no where near as disliked as 2 so DmC might end up being better than any of the previous games if Capcom and Ninja Theory take the time to fix the problems 4 had (it's not very likely but it's possible )

there will probably be something shown at Gamescom since Capcom has no reason to say maybe if the answer is no. hopefully it will be story related since they have already shown us gameplay.
