DmC: Devil May Cry - Accolade Trailer

Cool they got some really great reviews for the game and should be able to show it off, so before anyone starts bitching about how they bought those reviews or are not deserving of them just try to remember these are people who have spent 3-4 years of their life working on this and putting their blood sweat and tears into it, so whether you love it or hate it just keep that in mind.

Yep, it's not just about guys we see a lot like Tameem and Jones, but also about the artwork designers and programmers, film crew for mocap and audio department; so many people who do work on games, but do not get the big recognition because their work is behind the scenes. ^_^

Now Capcom's just bragging. Not sure if this is to drum up extra sales, or to troll. Perhaps a mixture of both.

And other game companies don't want to show when they get good reviews? It's not bragging. So if any other company did that, it would be alright? I've seen lots of other games use reviews in their trailers and put scores from reviews on the game box, so what's wrong with DmC doing that too?:/

if you made a game wouldnt you want to show off the good reviews to try and get more sales? EVERY game lucky enough to get such high scores do these trailers so i fail to see your point.

There's not much of a point to see really. :troll: Just saiyan. Though I never noticed games make accolades trailers. Interesting.

Geez. And yea, I would consider those companies bragging too. And I'm not saying it like it's an utterly bad thing.

Every game that get's good reviews does this, it's nothing new at all. If you want to see real bragging, look at the Arkham City game of the year or whatever it's called box art...... It's pretty much just "look at how many people think our game rocks!!!!!!" all over it. Granted, it deserves every accolade on the box art, it's pretty much the same thing.

Yea I'm new to this Accolades trailer making thing. Batman AC is probably one of the games that can get away with that, but I'm pretty sure I've seen that abused. Game gets like one good review or takes a good blurb from a review that's basically panning the game and slaps it on the box. Urgh.

Right. Every company brags. Everyone shows off their trophies. It's the circle of life.

I, on the other hand, would just put the worst reviews on my download page just to see if anyone would buy it (my indie 2D game would be made by a small team who didn't give a ****).

Edit: Damn it. Again! This is the last double post. I keep forgetting. I'm sorry.

Edit:

That Destructoid review

Hahahahahaha! Ten out of ten?? I know it's somewhat of a cult classic, but come on!

I'm sorry but that means nothing. EVERY video game ever, good or bad, has had people who worked tirelessly for years to finish their game and none of that matter come time for reviews because it's a given. Hard work doesn't change the content of a game or product so they could have bleed to keep their computers running and they could have pulled all nighters for a month (or in the case of P* a whole year) but if they don't deliver then they don't deliver.

But it also comes down to the way the audience has shifted. What sells?
CoD..... by the millions

Whether you work hard and come out with an amazing game, you'll never get the sales of a game like CoD and probably end up like a hidden gem.

You're right. But, I don't think that's what he meant. He just meant that every game has a team working behind it.

But here's the thing. Harder work usually means better results. I think that NT worked very hard. It's just that, they weren't used to such high octane gameplay and couldn't quite keep up with DMC3 (itty-bitty frame cancels in every animation, not to mention the combo transitions, count for a whole lot). However, it was a valiant effort, nonetheless.

So, while you can say that they weren't quite as good, you can also say that it wasn't for lack of trying.

Also, the accolades speak for themselves. That is, if they didn't buy those off, too. :troll:
