DmC demo reviews. In Japan.

It's a national holiday in Japan!
And many have played DmC in my community and I have some comments from both said words on live and in written words.

1. About Dante. Personality and appearance.
It seems quite a lot of people got used to his appearance and his personality.
Although some fans do still think the change was bad, they are seemed relieved when activating DT and seeing classic Dante returning on screen. (I laughed a lot when someone mentioned when DT was permanantly activated to get loose of a chainsaw attack and said "Subliminal Dante.")
They also like Dante's lines which they say are quite "witty"(This is due to the translated lines.)
And I must agree they hired one good translator...Some are, unique.
"Someone doesn't want me here."→"Seems I'm the uninvited guest."
"You're dumped!"→"Couple rejected!"
"Here I am."→"As you can see."
"So you must be the secret ingredient."→"So you are the fairy dust?"

2.About the systems.
Many people liked the combat system. But of course they say there are some problems.
First was the lock-on system, well there are too many post about that so I will keep it down. But players from experienced to casual players pointed out some good points that I also wish they will tone down. Some of them are...
"If you enemy step, the enemy will be immobilised in the air." and "The guns have a supreme hit-stop." and of course "Enemy step is easier as ever." and "Osiris's rake is too strong!" and "Parrying Poison makes it too easy."
Besides those points many say the gameplay evolved immensely because the cancels became more faster, the camera became wider, and more importantly the feeling of making combos and evading more freely than ever, making combat non-stop.

From these points I say now the views are generally positive here in the east as well.

My god... Now thats some cheesy quotes!

I quite like it. It seems more "Dante" than the English lines. lol
And of course, Osiris's shouts make everyone happy.

WHY COULDN'T WE HAVE THOSE CHEESY LINES IN ENGLISH?

Also, Dante should have been Australian like Tim Phillips. It would be so ****ing cool. And Australians sound natural when they swear, so it would make sense.

I like it. They just seem better to me, more creative.

I was worried how they would change the bad-language, but it turns out they have twisted it in a nice manner.
I too like it better. It has nice humour...If there are more of this, I might post some of the nice quotes when the full game comes out.
But as you guys know, poison can't be changed much since her words are more foul than Dante.

Good to see Japan is seeing the goods to DmC.

However those lines are lame.

"Someone doesn't want me here."→"Seems I'm the uninvited guest."
This one's alright. I actually like the Japanese one, but I'd rather he say; "Looks like i'm the uninvited guest." Even stil I prefer the English translation.

"You're dumped!"→"Couple rejected!"
I prefer the english. It's quick and isn't as lame sounding like it was from some generic anime.

"Here I am."→"As you can see."
This one; definitely english. Why would he say "as you can see?" If it was "Here I am...as you can see!" Then that's really campy. The english one of "You lookin' for a fight...here I am!" sounds more American sass and in your face. Like "I'm right here...come and get me!" (lol I actually prefer what I just said, but whatever.)

"So you must be the secret ingredient."→"So you are the fairy dust?"
Lol wut? What does a demonic, acid spitting, slug like, swearing monstrosity of an old woman have to do with "fairy dust?"

I think the "Here I am" is in response to Kat's "There you are," where Dante replies "Here I am," with a smirk.

In Japanese it would be something like "There you are," and Dante replies "As you can see."

What he said.

It makes more sence when you rember the context, right? I was wondering wha you were talking about when you said it made no sence till I realized you didn't remember the scene.

These are indeed unique. The i like the other three and i laugh out loud at the last one.

OOOH.:O Yeah I guess that sounds a bit good. I meant at the end of the E3 2012 trailer where he says "You lookin for a fight? Here I am!"
