DmC ArrancarDante Combos + Combo Test

ArrancarDante's combos. I thought they were really neat. Especially the second combo.

The first part of the second combo in the beginning shows him utilizing E&I and Stomp in repetitive succession. With it, he's able to lower himself down while keeping the enemy in midair.

And here's a few test combos that I've done (2 in total) Not really impressive but this just shows I'm at least testing out the combat system.

Can't say I've seen him before. I like him.

And he says that he's playing at 20fps?? wow.

Yeah he's relatively new in the DMC community. But he's a really good DMC4 player. Very technical too.

Also, I had to play around 20 fps because of fraps as well. Mainly because I have a very crappy computer. :/

You should try some of the Eryx in the combos too. It can really add to the combat when you get the hang of JC'ing showdown.

I've got Showdown + Rake JC down but JC'ing showdown alone is somewhat difficult.

It seems that ChaserTechs favourite JC is helm Breaker into calibur

At the time, I was just working with Osiris and Aquila. I don't see that much potential in Eryx though in terms of combat efficiency. I can JC showdown consistently with no problems, other than the fact that it has a very short range from what I've seen.

Not much range? Try Buy In or Demon Pull.

Also, stomp + fireworks cancel is ridiculous if you've got the timing right.

Showdowns ground bounce would be useful if it wasn't made almost useless by more effective moves like Rake or Buy In.

Actually, Ground bounce would be useful if JC didn't stall enemies in the air, preventing the ground bounce right after the hit.

And generally speaking, Showdown does have a small range. I know that I can pull enemies towards me but it's relatively annoying having an attack with a weird ranged hitbox like that.

Awn, come on, but Buy In is sooo badass.

What about the bounce from Flush combined with some Angel evade canceling? I haven't actually tested if that works.

I'm still wondering if comboing after Kablooey's Detonate is even possible. I know it always throws enemies backwards but how viable is it?

At a certain height (just train until you can recognize it) the explosion will send the baddie flying forward.
What I usually do is
Any combo where I land before enemy > Explosion> Trillion Stabs cancel into combo that ends with launcher or the Aquilla forward, forward Y, if there are enemies pestering you on the ground> insert custom badass air juggle here

Actually, the enemy flies backwards based on what direction they are facing in. So if they are facing away from you, they will fly towards you. I noticed this while messing around with Kablooey.

Wait, then do enemies change direction in midair? For example when I use prop or rebellion's launcher on an enemy with Kablooey in them and don't wait for them to go below a certain point, they end up flying backwards.

I'm pretty sure they only go backwards. I haven't been playing with Kablooey much because it seems like a weapon suited more to advanced play. When I use it I just look like an idiot.

Nope, even during the sample combos on the loading screen they have a basic combo where Kablooey sends the enemy forwards.

A basic combo you can use is Y,Y,B> Shoot> Roll forward> Detonate> Prop> any combo you have after prop

If done correctly after blowing up they'll fall into your Prop.

Well, all I know is that Showdown causes the enemy to turn slightly. Not sure about any other attacks in midair though.

I'll test out Kablooey a little more when I get on later.

Chaser, after seeing how some of your Nero combos incorporated the explosion of charged shot I was wondering if you have any Charged shot revenant combos.

Not really.

I've tried messing around with some combos but seeing how Dante is slower and JCing stalls the enemy in midair, it kinda shortens out some combo opportunities imo. Not to mention there's a bit of delay when he uses his charged shot as well.

Are you sure that doesn't happen because the enemy is facing towards you? Because I really think that is the case.

I'll be playing more of the game when I get home.
