RE5,RE6 and DMC4 and all of Capcom's games used the MT Framework engine which is one of the best engines in this gen. It makes the games smoother and look more realistic.
The problem with DmC is the engine, The game use the Unreal Engine which is the exact opposite of the MT Framework, It doesn't make the games smooth and the graphics doesn't look realistic.

I Think he may mean that DmC is more like a movie now, instead of a..... anime... i guess. I mean its really hard to tell what the story is, or what type of cinematic events that are going to occur during the playthrough, but i'm sure there will be no QTE's.
If he is asking about JUST the visuals then i would say that this is a totally different universe.
