I just realised something when I got back into playing DMC 3 last night...
When killing the doppleganger, did anybody notice the shape on the floor, aka Dante's shadow?...
It looked different, like a pair of wings or something?...

Or am I just picturing things?...

The wings are part of his devil trigger. If you go back to the first fight with Vergil at the end of the vid when he transforms, he has the wings. If thats what you're talking about.
 
Yea that is what I'm referring to. Doppleganger is a shadow of the devil trigger and the reason it has wings is because the devil trigger has wings since its mimicking.
