(I've been itching to make another story. Though I can't remember if I already used this title. Oh well. I've been wanting to add more weight onto my ideas, so this story's more for experimentation than just an idea. I hope you guys enjoy it.)
The moon shone brightly once again. It was a dark night- the sky was darker than ever. There were no stars. It was as if the moon, now larger than it ever has been, was the only light the world had, or ever will have.
The city itself was quiet. No one dares to venture outside of their homes anymore. Fear had consumed their lives. More than once had their homes been destroyed. More than once had Evil took away their peace. So now the town's streets were empty. The inside of houses remained dark. People lived in the shadows of Fear.
The only light that had shown came from the end of one road. The moon had set itself upon that road, as if acting as a guide or a mark that could lead to the only hope this town knew- a building whose lights never go out. Yet, it was a simple building with a charm that, once a person had seen it, would draw them in.
What was the source of that charm? Maybe it was the pink- colored neon sign that read: "Devils Never Cry?" Maybe it was its small size and stature compared to the buildings next to it? Or maybe it was the fact that, in a town of darkness, its lights never went out? Maybe it was what's inside the building, or who?
In this town, there are stories of a man and a woman who ran a shop inside that building. Parents would tell their kids of the oddities inside- the demon skulls and trinkets that littered its walls and the coolness of the man who collected them. They say that the man was of both human and Evil origin and the woman was a form of Evil herself yet they fight for the good of us all. Children would ask,"Who is this man and the woman he's with?" And their parents would say:
"Their names... are Dante and Trish."
